This week, we look at the truth of who we are as His Church and God's promises to His people on earth. Eugene Peterson says this in the message bible regarding Ephesians 1:23, “The church, you see, is not peripheral to the world; the world is peripheral to the church. The church is Christ’s body, in whom He speaks and acts, by which He fills everything with His presence.” The greatest honor and privilege any of us has been given is to belong to Jesus and His Church. This week, we look at God's promises to His church and the reality of who we are as the body of Christ.

Promises for Eternity

This week, we look at the promises that God has made to us regarding our eternity. This week is also Reformation Sunday as we remember and celebrate the eternal life of so many saints who have gone before us. We remember those who have gone before us and the promise that we will all be where they are one day.

Promises for You

October 20, 2024 • Pastor Tim Phillips • John 14:23–27, Isaiah 41:8–10

This week, we look at the promises that God has made to each individual who He has filled with His Holy Spirit. The greatest promise is that Jesus says nothing can separate us from him (Romans 8), nothing can snatch us (John 10), I will be with you always (Matthew 28), and John 14, which reminds us that God Himself lives in our bodies. All of these scripture verses point to the reality of God’s presence in our lives. This week, we look at this promise and the power and comfort that it brings that if our God is for us, then nothing can be against us.
