Day 21 - January 28

Day 21, Pastor Bob discusses the Name of Jesus, King, as we pray through the Names of Jesus for our 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting. Zechariah 9:9 "Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout, Daughter Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey." Jesus is King! Sadly today, many shout Hosana when things are going well, but otherwise crucify Him. We don't mind Him being King in name as long as He's not King by authority. Sometimes we don't live up to the standard that King Jesus has set for us. Jesus, forgive us for desiring your intervention in our lives as a Savior, but refusing to follow your lead as our King. GChurch, I'm so proud of you for staying strong in your fast, and I hope you enjoyed it! I hope it also helped to grow your faith and strengthen your relationship with the Lord. Keep up the great work of making Jesus your King into 2024!

Day 20 - January 27

Day 20, Andy and Deborah discuss the Name of Jesus, Immanuel, as we pray through the Names of Jesus for our 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting. Isaiah 7:14 "Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel." God is with us and He made a way for us to come directly to Him. How awesome to know that He is with us during this fast, and every day. Keep up the good work GChurch, we're almost there!

Day 19 - January 26

Day 19, Pastor Jacquelyn discusses the Name of Jesus, Creator, as we pray through the Names of Jesus for our 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting. John 1:1-3 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that was made.” Revelation 4:11 “Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for YOU CREATED ALL THINGS…” Jesus is the most creative Creator! Let’s go to Him during this time of prayer and fasting and let Him know how much we need Him! I’m praying for creative miracles to manifest in your life today and throughout this new year! Can’t wait to see how JESUS SHOWS OFF in and through you!

Day 18 - January 25

Day 18, David discusses the Name of Jesus, Life, as we pray through the Names of Jesus for our 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting. John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” As we start day 18, remember that God is life! There is no life without Him. I pray that God reveals Himself to you through this fast and gives you peace over your life.

Day 17 - January 24

Day 17, Tricia discusses the Name of Jesus, Great High Priest, as we pray through the Names of Jesus for our 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting. Heb. 4:14 says, “Since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.” I am blessed to share a few thoughts with you on Jesus, our Great High Priest. The next verse says that Jesus can sympathize with our weaknesses, because He was tempted in all things as we are, yet was without sin. Oh, what a blessing it is to know that Jesus understands and sympathizes with our struggles, our weaknesses and our pain! When we are tempted to give up and give in, we can go to Jesus our Great High Priest, in faith, and He will help us. He made a way for us, once and for all, when He offered up Himself, so we could come boldly to the throne of grace in our time of need. No matter how difficult things might get, Jesus, our Great High Priest, is always making intercession for us at the right hand of the Father.

Day 16 - January 23

Day 16, Danny and Rupa discuss the Name of Jesus, Author and Perfecter of Faith, as we pray through the Names of Jesus for our 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting. Heb 12:2 “…fixing our eyes on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of faith". From the day we put our trust in Jesus, the story of our life is already written. Every page and every chapter of our lives is written by Him. Our story is written in such a way that He will get the glory. Also, our faith story will end in victory because His name is on it. He is not only the Author but Perfecter of our faith. No one is perfect and even if we strive all our days, we are not going to be perfect, but we can be assured that Jesus is our perfecter. As long as we walk in faith and not give up, we can rest assured our story is going to be just perfect when we meet our Father. So, G-church let us continue on our fast with confidence that every day of our life, Jesus is guiding, shaping, and moving us towards perfection as long as we yield to HIM the Author and Perfector of our faith. Day 15, Valerie discusses the Name of Jesus, Amen, as we pray through the Names of Jesus for our 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting. To the angel of the church in Laodicea write: The Amen, the faithful and true Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God, says this: “I know your deeds.” Revelation 3:14-15 Did you know that when we pray and say Amen, we are calling on the name of Jesus? How interesting to think that even at the end of our prayer, we're ending with His name, it's not just a tagline. Jesus, the Amen, knows all that we think and feel, we can't hide from Him. He is faithful, and He is truth. Praying you also continue to be faithful and true in your fast, and you call upon the name of Jesus as you need Him. Amen.

Day 14 - January 21

Day 14, Kevin and Lisa discuss the Name of Jesus, Bread Out of Heaven, as we pray through the Names of Jesus for our 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting. John 6:32 “Jesus said to them, truly truly I say to you, it was not Moses who gave you the bread from heaven, but my Father gives you the true Bread from heaven.” We don’t eat a meal and go several days before eating again, yet unfortunately we often do this with our relationship with the Lord. During this fast, it’s the perfect opportunity to carve out time to seek the Bread of Heaven. Jesus knows what we need when we need it, and only He can truly provide for us. We pray that during this time you find that Jesus is your Bread of Heaven.

Day 13 - January 20

Day 13, Diane discusses the Name of Jesus, Forerunner, as we pray through the Names of Jesus for our 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting. Hebrews 6:20 “Jesus has entered as a FORERUNNER for us, having become a high priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.” Happy Saturday, G-Church! I’m Diane Herrera. It’s Day 13 of our 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting, and the name of Jesus that I would like to share with you today is FORERUNNER. No matter where you are or what you're facing, Jesus is your forerunner. He is already there and preparing a way for you. He is going ahead of you to light the way and make the path clear, to guide and protect you, and to steer you back on track if needed. He's there to make a way through, and to make a way to Him. We can walk in full confidence, knowing that Jesus, our forerunner, has gone ahead and has prepared the way. It makes me want to give him thanks and praise. I hope it does that for you, too. Have a great and blessed day, everyone.

Day 12, Thomas discusses the Name of Jesus, True Vine, as we pray through the Names of Jesus for our 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting. John 15:1 – “I am The True Vine, and My Father is the vinedresser”. As we continue the 2nd half of our 21 days of prayer and fasting, I pray you are connecting with Jesus as The True Vine and drawing spiritual nourishment from Him. "Through the tender mercy of our God, with which the Dayspring from on high has visited us." Luke 1:78 NKJV It’s Day 11 of the fast, halfway there! Jesus is the Dayspring bringing light into the world and hope in your darkest hour. Let His presence fill you with hope and courage today.

Day 10 - January 17

January 17, 2024 • Chance Foster

Day 10, Chance Foster discusses the Name of Jesus, Deliverer, as we pray through the Names of Jesus for our 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting. Romans 11:26 "All Israel will be saved just as it is written, 'The Deliverer will come from Zion, He will remove ungodliness from Jacob.'" Whatever you need a Deliverer for today, He is able to do that for you. It may not always come in the way we think it should have, but His ways are better than ours. Continue to press into Him during this fast, and remember the Deliverer is able to do more than you can think or imagine!

Day 9, Damian and Amber discuss the Name of Jesus, Light of the World, as we pray through the Names of Jesus for our 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting. Hey G Church! We are Damian and Amber Squires and it’s day 9 of our 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting…. We are so excited to share with you that Jesus is the Light of the World! In John 8:12 Jesus tells us this directly. It states- Jesus again spoke to them saying “I am the light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of Life.” Jesus, thank you for the gift to allow us to walk in your Light. Those who believe in you become children of the light and know the way in which they are to walk. Thank you for the true example of how the light of our lives are supposed to reflect in this dark world. Jesus, please forgive me for the times that I have chosen darkness over Light.

Day 8 - January 15

Day 8, Walter and Lara discuss the Name of Jesus, Advocate, as we pray through the Names of Jesus for our 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting. 1 John 2:1, "My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous." Jesus was and is our Advocate to the Father. He's on our side and He's fighting with us, and on our behalf. What a fitting day to be talking about the role of an advocate, the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., a day in which we celebrate and remember his role as an advocate for those who were unable to stand up and speak for themselves. We are grateful for his advocacy. And we know that during this fast, we have the ultimate Advocate, Jesus, standing with us and fighting on our behalf, cheering us on! Keep up the good work GChurch!

Day 7 - January 14

Day 7, Patrick and Kristina discuss the Name of Jesus, Alpha and Omega, as we pray through the Names of Jesus for our 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting. Revelation 1:8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.” What a God we serve! As we head into the second week of our fast, we want to encourage you to keep up the hard work and don’t allow the enemy to discourage you. Our God, who is the beginning and the end, is also the God of everything in between! We are praying for you, and we hope that you are encouraged by today’s word.
