The History of the NT Greek Canon.
Papyrus was mostly used for more ancient books. It survived in warm, dry climates such as the Middle East, but became frail after repeated use.
Parchment or vellum, which became more used in the 4th century, was made from the skins of cattle, sheep, goats, antelopes, and was much more durable than papyrus, but more expensive.
At the close of the first century A.D. the codex or leaf form of book, came into use in the Church. This is the form of book that we have today.
Majuscules or Uncials were all capitol letters without spaces or punctuation. This was beautifully done in very old manuscripts and eliminated errors due to handwriting styles.
Minuscule was a script type of writing using lower case letters.
Since the minuscule handwriting made books cheaper, they were more available to people with limited means.
Greek manuscripts fall into these two major groups (majuscule or minuscule), having subgroups of being written on either papyri or parchment. Either material was used interchangeably depending on cost.
In English for example it would read: GODISNOWHERE.
In the 4th century, when Rome received Christianity, scriptoria were established to produce copies of the NT. Therefore, just because a manuscript is older, that does not mean that it’s necessarily more accurate.
God chose to preserve the NT by the very number of man’s mistakes. In other words, the mistakes preserve the original text.
There are over 5700 manuscripts catalogued of parts of the NT alone. Each having small differences, then the number of variants becomes high, however, by comparison of them all, the variants become quite clear and a wonderful rendering of the original text is possible.
Wescott and Hort indicated that about one eighth of the variants had any weight, the rest being trivial.
Philip Schaff estimated that there were only 400 variants that affected the sense of the passage, and only 50 of these were important.
Dr. A.T. Robertson, the greatest of Greek scholars, indicated that of real concern regarding textual variants amounted to but “a thousandth part of the entire text.”

Codex Sinaiticus
At the age of nineteen, young Count Koinstantin von Tischendorf amazed his professors with his fluent knowledge of the classical languages and his knowledge of history.
This is how Tischendorf discovered the 129 pages of what is today known as the Codex sinaiticus, or the Codex Aleph.
Codex Sinaiticus is still one of the finest and most accurate texts available to us today, and it became the basis of many revisions and corrections of earlier editions of the Bible.
Actually, Codex Vaticanus, also known as Codex B was known to be some fifteen years older than Codex Sinaiticus (Codex Aleph). Vaticanus dated back to 325 or 350 A.D., and had probably been brought from the East by Pope Nicholas in 1448.
In 1809, when Napoleon exiled the Pope, it took about fifty wagons to transport the Pope’s library.
Tregelles, another great scholar and friend of Tischendorf’s, decided to investigate the Codex Vaticanus in the Vatican library.
A third very interesting manuscript, which very few people knew about, is the Codex Alexandrinus.
This Greek language manuscript had been written about 450 A.D. in Alexandria, Egypt.
In 1621, when Cyril Lucar became the Patriarch of the Greek Orthodox Church, he transferred the manuscript to
Constantinople.
The beautiful document, Codex Alexandrinus, was presented at court in 1627, just fifteen years after the King James Version of the Bible had been completed.
The first thing that was printed was Jerome’s Latin Vulgate as it was the most popular Bible translation at the time, although by then Bibles had been printed in several languages of Europe.
No Greek NT had been “printed” until 1514 and was called the Complutensian Polygot. It was a magnificent edition of Hebrew, Aramaic, Greek and Latin texts. 600 were printed, of which 97 are preserved today.
However, the first Greek NT to be published (put on the market) was an edition prepared by the famous Dutch scholar Desiderius Erasmus in 1516.
Erasmus could not find a Greek manuscript that contained the entire NT. He used about a half dozen different, incomplete copies of the Greek NT. For most of the text he relied on two rather inferior manuscripts from a monastic library at Basle, one of the Gospels and one of Acts and the Epistles, both dating from the 12th century.
Said of this first edition, owing to the haste in production, the volume contains hundreds of typographical errors. Said of this first edition: “It is in that respect the most faulty book I know.” (Scrivener)
Erasmus made a second edition which became the basis for Luther’s German translation. Corrections were made but the text was still only based on a half-dozen Greek manuscripts.
Further editions were made for a total of five editions in all by 1535. The text of Erasmus’ Greek NT rests upon a half-dozen miniscule Greek manuscripts. The oldest and best of these (codex 1, a miniscule of the 10th century) he used the least because he was afraid of its supposedly erratic text.
It is Erasmus’ text (Textus Receptus: Received Text) that is the basis of the 1611 King James Version. This is not to say that the KJV is a terrible translation, but it is flawed as any other translation and it is not as good as RSV, NIV, or NASB etc.

After Erasmus thousands of manuscripts of the Greek NT have been discovered as well as other ancient Greek texts that have aided in our understanding of the Koine Greek.
In fact the 26th edition of the Nestle-Aland Greek NT was published separately from the United Bible Societies’ Greek NT. Without communicating and by using different critical methods the two editions are identical.
5735 Greek manuscripts discovered and criticized over hundreds of years have reproduced God’s original Word to the writers of Scripture within 99.999% accuracy.

Canonicity Definition, Origin, and the OT.
Definiton:
Canonicity is derived from the Greek word “kanon” which originally meant a rod or a ruler – hence a measuring stick or a norm.
The canon of Scripture is the divine absolute standard of God’s revelation to mankind.
Argument: We don’t have any of the originals and the originals have been copied over and over so there are bound to be mistakes. Answer: True
Argument: The Bible was written by men and not God.
Answer: True.
But over 40 different writers who wrote over a period of 1,500 years are in exact agreement about types, antitypes, prophecies, fulfillment of prophecies, timelines, stories, and history, and all without a single glitch.
God the Holy Spirit so directed the writers of Scripture that without changing their personality, their vocabulary, their frame of reference, God’s complete message to mankind was recorded in their own language and vernacular.
This is the doctrine of inspiration. The Bible is not human viewpoint, but it is the Holy Spirit’s use of human agencies to record God’s complete revelation to mankind through mankind.
The Origin of the Scriptures:
The Bible was inspired by God and it is now complete.
REV 22:18
I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book : if anyone adds to them, God shall add to him the plagues which are written in this book;

When we turn to the decree of Artaxerxes, made in his twentieth year, NEH 2:1-8, for the first time is permission granted to rebuild the city of Jerusalem. This prophecy fulfills the conditions of DAN 9:25
Therefore, 69 weeks of prophetic years of 360 days (69 x 7 x 360 = 173,880 days) = 173,880 days.
After this many days, from March 14th B.C. 445, one would arrive at the 6th of April, A.D. 32.

The Old Testament
For instance the original Greek of John 1:1 is as follows:
Now look at an OT verse in the Hebrew:

In 280 B.C. 72 Alexandrian scholars got together and produced an amazingly accurate translation. This was called the Septuagint or “the Seventy” in honor of the translators.

The Bible was originally written in Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek, although only a handful of chapters were written in Aramaic
Unlike the NT, the OT scriptures were kept among one people, the Jews, for centuries. Outside of the Septuagint it remained in Hebrew, was kept among people who spoke the same language, and the Jews were well trained copyists and preservers of the OT
Originally the OT was divided into 3 parts: The Torah, the Prophets, and the Writings
The Torah or the Pentateuch consists of Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy
The second group, the Nabhim or Prophets which are split into two categories; the Former Prophets (before the Babylonian captivity) and the Latter prophets (after the Babylonian captivity). There are four books in each category.
The three Major Prophets are Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Ezekiel
The Minor Prophets, which we divide into 12 separate books, are all one in the Hebrew Bible, called the Twelve. Apart from Daniel “The Twelve” includes everything from Hosea to Malachi
The third section of the Hebrew OT is called the Kethubim or “The Writings.” This was divided into 3 sections, The Poetical Books, The Five Rolls (also called the Megilloth), and The Historical Books.
Lastly there are the three Historical Books at the end of the Hebrew Canon: Daniel, Ezra and Nehemiah (one book), and Chronicles.
Therefore, the Hebrew OT contains 24 books compared to our 39
This endorsement of Scripture takes us from GEN 4:10 (the first book) to 2CH 24:20-21 (the last book in the OT Canon)
The Apocrypha are books written after the close of the OT Canon in 425 B.C. The word Apocrypha means hidden or secret. Their addition was an attempt by the devil to infiltrate God’s Truth.
The Apocrypha teaches: Prayers and offerings for the dead (2 Macc 12:41-46). Suicide is justified (2 Macc 14:41-46). Salvation by giving money (Tobit 4:11). Cruelty to slaves (Ecclesiasticus 33:25-29). The soul is produced by parents (Wisdom 8:19-20).

Exodus 33:19 Moses had seen the face of God face to face.
A theophany is an old testament appearance of Jesus Christ. In this situation a theophany is Jesus Christ in a literally human body. To behold the Glory of God is to behold His goodness, His mercy, and His grace.
Bible Doctrine is the revelation of the glory of God.
The Word of God in writing. John 1:14 The Lord Jesus Christ was full of grace. Luke 4:22 Full of Grace has to do with the person of Jesus Christ. There will never be a person who will stand before God and not have had an opportunity to behold His grace.
Titus 2:11, 12. Grace is simply God’s unmerited favor toward the human race. Grace is God loving you when you don’t deserve a single thing. Grace is the way God treats you and I because of what His Son did on the Cross.
There is nothing that you could ever do to make God love you or bless you. God loves you because of who He is and not what you are. God loves each and every one of us with a perfect and unconditional love. God’s glory is His graciousness, His mercy and His goodness.
Luke 4:22 Our words usually reveal what we are thinking, unless one is a hypocrite. Jesus Christ constantly spoke gracious words, and He constantly thought gracious thoughts. Jeremiah 29:13 The reason why they are thoughts of peace is so that you can except reconciliation and come to God’s expected end. Many Christians struggle to live the Christian way of life.
How can you please God? The first prerequisite to coming to a place of being a Christian that pleases God is that you have to know God’s thoughts towards who you are. Many people do not know what God’s glory is all about and they begin to feel condemned. God’s glory is His grace. God’s glory is His mercy. God’s glory is His goodness. Who wouldn’t want to draw near to a God who is filled with glory filled with Mercy, filled with grace and God that is good to us constantly? When Jesus Christ walked on this earth, He was filled with not just Truth, but Grace and Truth.¬¬¬¬ You can’t be filled with grace unless you’re filled with truth and truth is God doctrines.
You can’t be filled with truth unless you’re filled with grace. You can’t have one without the other, the two go together. The more truth that I learn,
the more grace that I’ll know about God and then the more gracious I’ll be to others. Jesus Christ, when He came down on earth, revealed His glory to the human race and His glory was revealed by grace and truth.
That is so precious when you think about it. In fact Grace and doctrine, Grace and truth, doctrine is what sustained Him in His earthly ministry.
You and I can go through any difficulty in life and have Bible doctrine, God’s word and God’s promises and the Holy Spirit to sustain us constantly.
When Jesus Christ came, He was filled with grace and truth and when our sins were poured upon Him and judged, grace and truth is what carried Him. Grace and Doctrine carried Him through.
The same thing that carried Him through you and I have the ability to carry us through right now,
at any time because His grace, His truth, the Shekinah Glory, and God the Holy Spirit will never leave us or forsake us. God the Father will never forsake us because God the Son already paid that price for every single one of us… If you lived when Christ lived and if you followed Him all around and you sat and you learn with Him and you went everywhere with Him, you would still not have what you have today, you would still not have the Shekinah Glory inside of you. You could’ve seen Him all that you want but you couldn’t behold all of His glory,
Psalm 85:10 Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other. In the person of Jesus Christ when he came down on the earth mercy and truth met, and then in the person of Jesus Christ righteousness and peace kissed. What does that mean?
That means that righteousness, God‘s righteousness,
God‘s holiness now has been totally at peace with mankind through Jesus Christ.

Who is this one that said to be raised from the dead?
These are the questions you must ask yourself:
Do you believe in God?
Do you believe that there is a God somewhere somehow?
And if so do you have a responsibility to listen to Him?
Do you owe Him a hearing?
If there really is a God, what does God want from your life?
No one can go through life saying I believe in God, yet ignore Him.
Many people that say they believe in God, really do not.
To really believe in God you would have to realize that God wants something from you.
God expect something from you.
The Gospel of John deals with who Jesus Christ is.
The Gospel of John One of the most unique.
Matthew, Mark and Luke are very repetitious.
The Gospel of John is much different than the Gospel of Matthew, Mark and Luke.
John 1. John wrote his book after the other Gospels were already written.
The Holy Spirit wanted him to bring something out about Jesus Christ more than what any of the other gospels did even combined.
The deity of Jesus Christ, who Jesus Christ is.
Many people will come up with excuses to not face who Jesus Christ is.
John 20:31
This book was not written to condemn you.
Jesus Christ has already paid the price for every sin you would ever commit.
This book is written that you might believe that Jesus is the Christ the Son of God and that believing you might have life through His name.
A lot of people believe that Jesus Christ is the Son but a lot of people don’t keep on believing.
If you keep on believing then you’ll have life through His name. The Gospel of John is a book that is written to unbelievers to cause them to believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and then this book is also written to Christians to cause them to keep on believing that He is Lord and Savior so that they can have a life through His name.
Many people never learn to love themselves through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Why was the Gospel of John written?
So that we might believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that by believing we might have life through His name.
The life that God wants us to have does not begin when we die and go to heaven.
We are not talking about eternal life in heaven we are talking about life right now on earth, this is why this gospel was written.
This book is considered by many scholars to be the deepest and the most spiritual book in the Bible.
The main purpose for this book is to inspire you and I to have faith in Jesus. The only thing that matters now is what ye think of Jesus Christ?
It doesn’t matter who you are or what you have done, if you believe on the Lord Jesus Christ you will have eternal life.
There is only one reason and one reason only why people go to hell and that is because they refuse to believe in the Son of God, nothing else.
Why did Jesus Christ who is God dwell among us?
2 Corinthians 8:9 For you are recognizing [more clearly] the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [His astonishing kindness, His generosity, His gracious favor], that though He was rich, yet for your sake He became poor, so that by His poverty you might become rich (abundantly blessed).
Jesus Christ came to make poor people rich.
The word of God says in Philippians 2:8 After He was found in [terms of His] outward appearance as a man [for a divinely-appointed time], He humbled Himself [still further] by becoming obedient [to the Father] to the point of death, even death on a cross.
Christ is the Son of God and to keep having that face so that He’s not only Savior of your soul but He’s also Lord of your life.
What good is it if Jesus Christ is your savior but He’s not your Lord?
A lot of people use phrases so that Jesus Christ will not have to be Lord of their life.
Consider making Jesus Christ Savior of your soul and if you’re already saved make Him Lord of your life.
This gospel is designed for us to recognize the Celebrity ship, the Kingship, and the Lordship of our Lord.
Jesus Christ is God!
You must realize that Jesus Christ is not just the Son of God but He is God Himself.
Jesus Christ is King, Jesus Christ is Lord and Jesus Christ is the only celebrity in the Christian life.
The fact that Jesus Christ is God demands your attention.
You will have to stand before God someday to answer to God.
John 1:1 In the beginning [before all time] was the Word ([a]Christ), and the Word was with God, and [b]the Word was God Himself.
The Word was in the beginning, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. The Word was God. The Word was God.
The Word “beginning” means a beginning that has no beginning, it means eternity password for the Word.
As much as you know about the Bible is as much as you know about God.
God is omnipresent.
God’s entire mind is in the Bible.
John 1:14
The same One who is equal to the Father and the same One that was equal to the Holy Spirit and Who occupied the highest place of deity, He decided to come down on earth and take upon Him the form of a man.
The same form of humanity as you and I.
CHRIST CAN BECOME YOUR REALITY NOW

Were It Not For Jesus Christ, We Would Have Nothing And Be Nothing. Pastor Robert R. McLaughlin.
We begin this morning with some of the blessings and accomplishments that our Lord’s ascension, descension, and session were about to be mentioned and supplied by our Lord’s victories upon the cross.
This is a reference to our Lord's ascension into heaven following His resurrection and His position at the right hand of God the Father for when He arrived into Heaven He heard those magical words which were quoted from Psa 110:1; Mat 22:44; Mar 12:36; Luk 20:42; Acts 2:34‑35; Heb 10:12‑14.
Psa 110:1; Mat 22:44; Mar 12:36; Luk 20:42; Acts 2:34‑35; Heb 10:12‑14. “Sit down at My right hand until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet.”
This is a passage that describes the Doctrine of the Session which is a doctrine of Christology that pertains to the glorification of our Lord's humanity at the right hand of God the Father.
For when our Lord received the title that He did to sit down at the right hand of God, He was beginning to experience the ultimate glory of everything He could ever imagine that was about to happen to Him.
Things like 1CO 2:9 "Things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard, And which have not entered the heart of man, All that God has prepared for those who love Him."
Or things like 1PE 1:12 It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves, but you, in these things which now have been announced to you through those who preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven‑‑ things into which angels long to look.
This is also a time in 2CO 5:10 when each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.
In 1Co 3:14, It will also be a time when winner believers shall receive a reward.
The point is that the Doctrine of the Session is that doctrine of Christology pertaining to the glorification of our Lord's humanity at the right hand of the Father.
If TLJC remained on earth, He would have a limited glory, but when He went to the third heaven He became superior to all creation, and therefore He received unlimited glory.
Look how the apostle Paul put it beginning with COL 3:1 If then you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.
So in COL 3:2, he writes Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth.
It’s interesting that the word he used for mind is the present active imperative of the verb phroneo which is a word for loving with affection.
Why?
Because in COL 3:3 For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
COL 3:4, and When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.
This reveals the fact that upon arrival in the third heaven, our Lord was seated at the right hand of God the Father which is one of the many blessings of the Doctrine of the Session.
Then He received His third royal title "King of kings, Lord of lords, the Bright Morning Star."
This was this time that the human race was elevated higher than the entire angelic creation; Heb 1:14; Heb 2:7; Psa 8.
Then Paul says back in COL 2:1 For I want you to know how great a struggle I have on your behalf, and for those who are at Laodicea, and for all those who have not personally seen my face,
COL 2:2 that their hearts may be encouraged, having been knit together in impersonal unconditional love, and attaining to all the wealth [that is the riches] that comes from the full assurance of understanding, resulting in a true knowledge [or epignosis or metabolized doctrine] of God's mystery, that is, the mystery doctrine of Christ Himself,
COL 2:3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
It’s interesting that the word for treasure is the Greek noun thesaurus which means a treasure chest of almost anything just like the English word is used to describe anything that can be used or has meaning.
COL 2:4 I say this in order that no one may delude you or deceive you with persuasive argument.
COL 2:5 For even though I am absent in body, nevertheless I am with you in spirit, rejoicing to see your good discipline and the stability of your faith or doctrine in Christ.
Therefore, in COL 2:6 As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord yourselves [as Eph 2:8 says, by grace, through faith; and not of works], so walk in Him,
COL 2:7 having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude.
Now, according to PSA 8. originally, man was created higher than the animal creation and lower than the angels.
PSA 8:1 (For the choir director; on the Gittith. A Psalm of David.) O Lord, our Lord, How majestic is Thy name in all the earth, Who hast displayed Thy splendor above the heavens!
PSA 8:2 From the mouth of infants and nursing babes Thou hast established strength, Because of Thine adversaries, To make the enemy and the revengeful cease.
PSA 8:3 When I consider Thy heavens, the work of Thy fingers, The moon and the stars, which Thou hast ordained;
PSA 8:4 What is man, that Thou dost take thought of him? And the son of man, that Thou dost care for him?
PSA 8:5 Yet Thou hast made him a little lower than God, And dost crown him with glory and majesty!
PSA 8:6 Thou dost make him to rule over the works of Thy hands; Thou hast put all things under his feet,
PSA 8:7 All sheep and oxen, And also the beasts of the field,
PSA 8:8 The birds of the heavens, and the fish of the sea, Whatever passes through the paths of the seas.
PSA 8:9 O Lord, our Lord, How majestic is Thy name in all the earth!
Now, when our Lord arrived in heaven as a member of the human race, He was rewarded by God the Father for His strategic and tactical victory in the angelic conflict.
And. He was also given a brand new title for this strategic victory.
That brand title that He did not possess before He became a member of the human race is “The King of kings, the Lord of lords, the bright and morning star.
This was His third royal title.
His first two titles were the Son of God and His Royal Family was God the Father and God the Holy Spirit so that all three members of His Royal Family were god or deity.
His second title was the son of David and His Royal Family was made up of Jews or the Davidic Dynasty the Son of David.
However, because His third royal title had no Royal Family, the age of Israel was halted or paused and the Church-age was inserted for the calling out of His third Royal Family called the [ekklesia] or the Royal Family; 1Pe 2:9.
1Pe 2:9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for {God's} own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
However, there would be a fantastic change made from David's Psalm in the book of Hebrews.
For example, in HEB 2:6 But one has testified somewhere, saying, "What is man, that Thou rememberest him? Or the son of man, that Thou art concerned about him?
That's a quotation from PSA 8:4 What is man, that Thou dost take thought of him? And the son of man, that Thou dost care for him?
Now look at HEB 2:7 "Thou hast made him for a little while lower than the angels; Thou hast crowned him with glory and honor, And hast appointed him over the works of Thy hands;
HEB 2:8 Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet.
That's a quotation from PSA 8:5-6, Yet Thou hast made him a little lower than God, And dost crown him with glory and majesty! Thou dost make him to rule over the works of Thy hands; Thou hast put all things under his feet,
However, notice what is added in Heb 2:7, "Thou hast made him for a little while lower than the angels;
Only for a little while.
David never said that?
Why?
Because Old Testament were not elevated higher than angels because they were not in union with Christ like New Testament saints.
So, HEB 2:8 says Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. "For in subjecting all things to him, He left nothing that is not subject to him. But now we do not yet see all things subjected to him.
HEB 2:9 But we do see Him who has been made for a little while lower than the angels, namely, Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone.
HEB 2:10 For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things, and through whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to perfect the author of their salvation through sufferings.
So, because of our union with Christ and because of the ascension and session, Jesus Christ is seated at the right hand of God and you and I are:
EPH 2:6 Raised up with Him, and seated with Him in the heavenly places, in Christ Jesus,
HEB 1:13 says But to which of the angels has He ever said, "Sit at My right hand, Until I make Thine enemies A footstool for Thy feet"?
God the Father never said this to any angel, but only to Jesus Christ.
It is very significant that God the Father said this to the humanity of Christ in a resurrection body.
This means that although we are now inferior to angels in our human bodies on earth, in the future in resurrection bodies we will be totally superior to angels.
Then concerning the elect angels look at HEB 1:14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent out to render service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation?
Now, all of this is why this doctrine of ascension and session is the missing link between the resurrection of Christ and the Christian way of life.
Something new had to be created to accompany this new third royalty of Jesus Christ, a new royal family.
His new royalty had to be a new spiritual species, as per 2Co 5:17.
2Co 5:17 Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.
In ROM 6:4, we are given a newness of life; Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, in order that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.
In ROM 7:6 But now we have been released from the Law, having died to that by which we were bound, so that we serve in newness of the Spirit and not in oldness of the letter.
In GAL 6:15 For neither is circumcision anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation.
In EPH 2:15, we are now called one new man, by abolishing in His flesh the enmity, {which is} the Law of commandments {contained} in ordinances, that in Himself He might make the two into one new man, {thus} establishing peace,
In EPH 4:24, we are commaned to put on the new self, which in {the likeness of} God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.
Look at COL 3:9 Do not lie to one another or do not live in the lies of the cosmic system, since you laid aside the old self with its {evil} practices,
COL 3:10 and have put on the new self who is being renewed to a true knowledge according to the image of the One who created him
COL 3:11 ‑‑{a renewal} in which there is no {distinction between} Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave and freeman, but Christ is all, and in all.
In HEB 8:13, we have "A new {covenant},"
In 2PE 3:13 But according to His promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells.
1JO 2:8 On the other hand, I am writing a new commandment to you, which is true in Him and in you, because the darkness is passing away, and the true light is already shining.
REV 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and there is no longer {any} sea.
Look at all the new things we are to look for.
REV 21:5 And He who sits on the throne said, "Behold, I am making all things new." And He *said, "Write, for these words are faithful and true."
So, these two doctrines of ascension and session combine to form the climax of the strategic victory of Christ in the angelic conflict.
While the angels were still talking our Lord was already in the third heaven.
He traveled billions and billions of light years in just a few seconds.
After His ascension, His session fulfilled the prophecy of Psa 110:1 "The Lord [God the Father] said to my Lord [God the Son], `Sit down at My right hand until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet.'"
So, the strategic victory of Jesus Christ in the great power experiment of the Hypostatic Union is related to the award of His third royal title.
His first royal title is related to His deity.
His title is "Son of God."
His royal family is God the Father and God the Holy Spirit.
His second royal title is related to His humanity.
His title is "Son of David."
His royal family is the Davidic dynasty.
His third royal title is related to His resurrection and ascension.
His entire title is "King of kings, Lord of lords, Bright and Morning Star."
His royal family is in the process of being completed, made up of every Church-age believer.
You are not simply a child of God; you are a royal child of God.
So, the ascension and session is not only related to the Hypostatic Union, but it also to the angelic conflict.
With the resurrection of Jesus Christ, all angelic creatures including fallen angels, are subordinated to Him in His humanity.
In His deity, Jesus Christ is the creator of angels.
In His humanity, He was made lower than angels, Heb 2:7.
But now in His resurrection, He is higher than angels in His humanity.
And some day in our resurrection body, we will share that same privilege experientially.
Being in union with Christ, we are already positionally higher than angels.
But in resurrection bodies, we will be experientially and physically higher than angels.
Eph 1:22, "And He [God the Father] has subordinated all [angelic creatures] under His feet. Furthermore, He appointed Him [Jesus Christ] ruler over all things to the Church."
After studying the ascension and the decension, we are now ready for and the importance of understanding the Doctrine of the Session.
This lead’s us to one more major doctrine that is extremely important and that is the Doctrine of what is known THE BIG GENUFLEX.
The big Genuflex is the interim event between the Rapture and the Judgment Seat of Christ when every knee will bow before TLJC.
Right after the rapture or the resurrection of the church and before the judgment seat of Christ where winners will be rewarded, there is a period of time when TLJC will be worshipped by all believers in their resurrection bodies.
Therefore, the big Genuflex is both the glorification of the Father's plan and the recognition of our Lord's victory over sin and Satan which was bestowed on Him at His session.
At this time, the entire royal family is present, and they confess to the victory of TLJC over sin and over Satan.
This explains passages like PHI 2:9 Therefore also God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the title or title which is above every other title.
It is also found in PHI 2:10 where the apostle Paul says; that at the title of Jesus every knee should bow, of those who are in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth.
PHI 2:11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Now, we must have a resurrection body as He does because we are His family.
And, in resurrection body, the entire royal family will identify the Head of the family, Jesus Christ, to the glory of God the Father.
In our moment of greatest happiness we will be talking and singing about the Lord Jesus Christ.
Our greatest moment of happiness will be thinking and talking about our Lord.
This also explains the relationship between Rom 14:10-11 and Phi 2:9‑11.
Look at Rom 14:10 But you, why do you judge your brother? Or you again, why do you regard your brother with contempt? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of God.
ROM 14:11 For it is written, "As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to Me, And every tongue shall give praise to God."
ROM 14:12 So then each one of us shall give account of himself to God.
Now, the big Genuflex is the moment of maximum +H which is perpetuated forever.
It is followed by the Judgment Seat of Christ.
And we make that happiness meaningful by receiving our eternal rewards and decorations.
However, you won't lose this fantastic happiness at the Judgment Seat of Christ even if you receive no reward, due to your failure in life.
We can understand the confession of the royal family immediately following the Rapture based on the concept of Christ's battlefield royalty, for we will be in total awe of Him.
This moment will be the fulfillment of all our doctrine, and the realization of the purpose of our new birth and why we lived for Him while on earth.
We will each personally praise the strategic victory of the angelic conflict and relate it to our very purpose for living, Rom 14:11.
Blessing and rewards which glorify Christ fulfill prophesies in the Old Testament, Isa 53:12b, "Then He will distribute the spoil or the blessings to the great ones or the mature believers."
Christ was willing to suffer on the cross that we might share in the plunder or spoil of His victory.
So, the big Genuflex, our acknowledgment of Christ in eternity, will be the greatest moment of worship in history, full of great singing.
In time, we acknowledge Christ by our daily intake of doctrine.
In the eternal state, we will acknowledge Him through our worship.
Now, something very interesting is said about our Lord in Phi 2:10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those who are in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth,
The phrase that "every knee should bow" is the recognition of the Celebrityship of Christ by both believers and unbelievers.
This is a reference to unbelievers who did not do it the easy way.
The easy way is through the communication of doctrine by the pastor-teacher to his congregation, so that they can reach super-grace and occupation with the Person of Christ, our unique Celebrity.
The hard way is described as the unbeliever on his knees at the end of time.
He has rejected Jesus Christ.
He has used the Name of Christ in profanity and derision.
Or he has ridiculed Him or has been passive and indifferent toward Him.
But the time will come when the Celebrityship of Christ will be manifest to all creatures in the universe.
PHI 2:11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
God the Father had a plan that He made billions and billions of years ago—sometime in eternity past.
And the epitome of the expression of God's Plan is the God-Man-Savior.
Prin: A perfect Plan from a perfect Father glorifies a perfect Son.
His Plan was that all creatures would come to recognize the Celebrityship of Christ.
First of all, by the Gospel, leading a person to Phase One (salvation).
Next by reaching super-grace in Phase Two (the believer in time), we are now able to glorify the Lord.
Now, where does this leave believers who are ignorant of doctrine and who do not recognize the Celebrityship of Christ?
They are completely missing out on the Plan of God for their lives, and thus they are losing out on the greatest and most wonderful blessing life can offer!
And this need not be the case in any believer's life.
Christ CAN become a reality NOW through doctrine.
"Christ is all and in all" (Col. 3:11), or literally, "Christ is all things because He is the source of all things."
COL 3:13 bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you.
COL 3:14 And beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity.
COL 3:15 And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful.
COL 3:16 Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.
COL 3:17 And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.
Beginning with doctrine, He is the grace source of everything we have of value.
Were it not for Jesus Christ, we would have nothing and be nothing.
Bible doctrine in the soul counteracts the old sin nature, demon influence and every other adverse circumstance in life.
It is the basis for reaching the capacity to love.
And when we have maximum capacity for Category One love under super-grace living, then we have a new focus, a new concentration, a new motivation, a new happiness—in short, we have a fantastic life!
As for unbelievers, before they get to the Lake of Fire, they will recognize and finally acknowledge, the hard way, that Jesus Christ is the ONLY CELEBRITY of the universe.
Even unbelievers are going to hell on their knees saying "JESUS IS LORD!
Prin-There is nothing greater that a believer can do during the course of this life than to live in the sphere of the Celebrityship of Jesus Christ—the highest status in experiential Christianity!
We also need to note The Necessity for the Humanity of Christ.
Why did Christ have to become a human being….eight reasons?
Jesus Christ became true humanity to do the will of the Father, Heb 10:5-10.
Heb 10:5, Therefore, when He entered the world [at virgin birth], He said [Psa 40:6-8], `You [God the Father] do not desire sacrifice and offering [soteriology of the ritual plan of God for the dispensation of Israel],
At that time [virgin birth] I said [from His deity], Behold, I have arrived; (in the scroll of a book it stands written about Me [Old Testament prophecies] to accomplish Your will, O God.
After saying the above, `Sacrifices and whole burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin You have not desired, nor have You been propitiated by them; (which sacrifices are offered according to the law), then He said,
”Behold, I have arrived to execute Your will, He has abrogated [taken away] the first [the Mosaic Law] that He might establish the second [PPOG for the Church].
By which will [purpose, plan] we [new spiritual species, royal family of God] have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once and for all.
So, when our Lord says in Heb 10:7, “I have arrived to accomplish Your will, O God, it was spoken from the deity of Christ in Hypostatic Union.
It refers to the election of Jesus Christ related to the salvation or the incarnation plan of God.
And when verse 9 says; He takes away the first in order to establish the second; it means the PPOG for the Church Age supersedes the ritual plan of God for Israel.
The new spiritual species of the Church Age replaces the new racial species of Israel, i.e., until the second Advent, when Israel will again become a client nation to God.
The substitutionary spiritual death of Christ on the cross and resultant efficacious unlimited atonement fulfills and abrogates the ritual authorization of the Mosaic Law.
Jesus Christ had to become true humanity to be the Savior of the world, Phi 2:7-8; Heb 2:14-15.
As God, Jesus Christ could not have anything to do with sin except judge and reject sin.
Sovereignty is not subject to death.
Eternal life cannot die, and physical death was necessary for our Lord’s resurrection.
Only humanity could bear our sins.
So, Jesus Christ had to become true humanity and perfect
humanity in order to receive the imputation and judgment
of our sins on the cross, 1Pe 2:24.
1Pe 2:24 and He Himself bore our sins in His body on
the cross, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed.
Jesus Christ had to become true humanity to be the
mediator between God and man, Job 9:2,32-33; 1Ti 2:5-6.
He had to be equal with both God and mankind to be a
mediator between both parties.
Therefore, Jesus Christ had to be both undiminished deity
and true humanity in one person forever.
Job 9:2 In truth I know that this is so but how can a
man be in the right before God?
JOB 9:3 If one wished to dispute with Him, He could not
answer Him once in a thousand times.
JOB 9:32 For He is not a man as I am that I may answer
Him, that we may go to court together.
JOB 9:33 There is no umpire between us, Who may lay
his hand upon us both.
1TI 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator also
between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.
1TI 2:6 who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the
testimony borne at the proper time.
Jesus Christ had to become true humanity to be a
High priest for the human race.
Jesus Christ had to become true humanity to be a
Priest for the human race.
A priest must be a man in order to represent man
before God.
Jesus Christ became true humanity to be our high
priest after the order (or pattern) of Melchizedek, Heb
7:4-5,14, 28; 10:5, 10-14.
HEB 7:4 Now observe how great this man was to whom Abraham, the patriarch, gave a tenth of the choicest spoils.
HEB 7:5 And those indeed of the sons of Levi who receive the priest's office have commandment in the Law to collect a tenth from the people, that is, from their brethren, although these are descended from Abraham.
In HEB 7:14 For it is evident that our Lord was descended from Judah, a tribe with reference to which Moses spoke nothing concerning priests.
In HEB 7:28 For the Law appoints men as high priests who are weak, but the word of the oath, which came after the Law, appoints a Son, made perfect forever.
In HEB 10:5 Therefore, when He comes into the world, He says, "Sacrifice and offering Thou hast not desired, But a body Thou hast prepared for Me;
In HEB 10:10 By this will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
In HEB 10:11 And every priest stands daily ministering and offering time after time the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins;
HEB 10:12 but He, having offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, sat down at the right hand of God,
HEB 10:13 waiting from that time onward until His enemies be made a footstool for His feet.
HEB 10:14 For by one offering He has perfected for all time those who are sanctified.
Jesus Christ had to become true humanity to be a king
and rule forever.
He had to be the son of David to fulfill the Davidic
covenant to Israel, 2Sa 7:8-16; Psa 89:20-37.
These definitions presume your understanding of the
Hypostatic Union and they closely related to and based on
the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
1TI 6:16 who alone possesses immortality and dwells in
unapproachable light; whom no man has seen or can see.
To Him be honor and eternal dominion! Amen.

REPETITION
New Year’s Special - a Recap of January 2014, Part 3.
The word of God is alive and powerful, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of the soul and spirit,
and of the joints and the marrow, and is a critic of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
all scripture is God-breathed and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
so that the man or woman of God may become mature, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Turn in the word of truth this MORNING to Acts 11.
On Wednesday evening, when we had our New Years evening not with the spirits of the cosmic system but with the real Spirit, God the Holy Spirit, we recalled how last year beginning in January 2014, we noted some very interesting doctrines.
And after talking to some of our internet students or disciples I had prayed about something and believe that God has given me the answer.
First of all, you must remember that there are certain mechanics when it comes to the will of God.
In fact Acts 11 reveals these mechanics in a special and unique way.
1. First of all there is Guidance through prayer, in Acts 11:5.
In ACT 11:5, Peter says "I was in the city of Joppa praying; and in a trance I saw a vision, a certain object coming down like a great sheet lowered by four corners from the sky; and it came right down to me,
2. Secondly, there is Guidance through objective thinking of Bible doctrine, verse 6.
ACT 11:6 and when I had fixed my gaze upon it and was observing it I saw the four footed animals of the earth and the wild beasts and the crawling creatures and the birds of the air.
3. Next, there is Guidance through perception and recall of doctrine, verses 7 10.
ACT 11:7 "And I also heard a voice saying to me, 'Arise, Peter; kill and eat.'
ACT 11:8 "But I said, 'By no means, Lord, for nothing unholy or unclean has ever entered my mouth.'
ACT 11:9 "But a voice from heaven answered a second time, 'What God has cleansed, no longer consider unholy.'
ACT 11:10 "And this happened three times, and everything was drawn back up into the sky.
4. Number 4, There is guidance through providential circumstances, e.g. the people we meet, verse 11.
ACT 11:11 "And behold, at that moment three men appeared before the house in which we were staying, having been sent to me from Caesarea.
5. Guidance through filling of the Holy Spirit and humility, verse 12.
ACT 11:12 "And the Spirit told me to go with them without misgivings. And these six brethren also went with me, and we entered the man's house.
6. Guidance through fellowship and comparison of spiritual data, verses 13 14.
ACT 11:13 "And he reported to us how he had seen the angel standing in his house, and saying, 'Send to Joppa, and have Simon, who is also called Peter, brought here;
ACT 11:14 and he shall speak words to you by which you will be saved, you and all your household. '
7. Guidance through recalling of doctrine, verse 16.
ACT 11:16 "And I remembered the word of the Lord, how He used to say, 'John baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit.'
8. Guidance through disaster.
It's very interesting that I received the guidance from God the Holy Spirit from what I am about to do from the first 7 points, only number 8 was missing.
And that is to emphasize the main message that was given in every month of the year 2014.
We already noted the month of January on Wednesday evening, which had to deal with the subject of the sword of the Spirit in the life our Lord emphasizing how gnosis is converted into epignosis.
And so today we are going to review in one message the month of FEBURARY, 2014.
MARCH
We studied the Lamb of God Who took away the sins of the world.
APRIL - We focused the life of Jesus Christ by the washing the feet of His disciples.
MAY = a new Commandment the Lord gives which is impersonal unconditional love.
JUNE
June began with the doctrine of the substitutionary spiritual death of our Lord Jesus Christ on the Cross.
JULY the Substitutionary Spiritual Death of our Lord.
Deacon Rick Bettez dealt with how
Science catches up to the Bible.
While Rick Kabrick dealt with the Feasts of the Lord.
AUGUST
We noted the Divine descriptions of Hades or Hell.
SEPTEMBER
September began with the doctrine of Election.
And we noted the three basic elections:
1. TLJC
2. Israel and the Jew
3. The election of the church.
OCTOBER
October began with the Doctrine of Election and the difference between: Cosmic one and Cosmic two.
NOVEMBER dealt with the hypocrisy of religion noting especially the Roman Catholic Church and its false doctrines.
DECEMBER
Then in December, we entered into our present study The Doctrine of Heaven.
And now, here we are, in the year of our Lord, 2015.
JOH 14:26 "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things,
and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.
"will bring to your remembrance" is a futactind, hupomnesei which is a compound verb which means to remember, to remind, to suggest, to mention.
Menesko means to remember,
Hupo means under the authority of someone.
In JOH 14:26 we have our Mentor, God the Holy Spirit mentioned once again "But the Helper [parakletos], the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name,
Parakletos means primarily a helper, a counselor, someone who can instill wisdom into your soul.
JOH 14:26 "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things,
"will teach" is a futactind, the verb is didaxei
meaning to teach, to train, to educate, to impart information.
The Holy Spirit teaches the mystery doctrine to the believers of the Church-age, Joh 16:12-15, 1Co 2:9-14, 1Jo 2:27.
and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.
"will bring to your remembrance" is a futactind, hupomnesei which is a compound verb which means to remember, to remind, to suggest, to mention.
Menesko means to remember,
Hupo means under the authority of someone.
Many times even though you've learned something once, you have to learn it again and again and again until you cannot forget it!
As Paul said to the Philippians in PHI 3:1 Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things again is no trouble to me, and it is a safeguard for you.
The word "safeguard" describes the importance of repetition!
It is the Greek word "asphales" which means that which produces security and firmness.
This is why the alert pastor repeats doctrine.
Repetition is important!
You do not learn because you hear it http://once.....you learn because you hear it again and again and again.
And no matter how bored the congregation gets....
No matter how resentful someone might be....
No matter how anti-repetition some are....
a pastor who truly loves TLJC will go against the grain and will repeat, repeat, and repeat!
This is how inculcation takes place.
Inculcation means to press upon the mind through frequent repetition.
It means to indoctrinate or to ingrain!
It also means to drill it in to someone or hammer it in!
Now why is repetition so important?
(1) Repetition of doctrine is important for application of doctrine.
(2) Repetition of doctrine is important for appreciation of who and what TLJC is.
(3) Repetition of doctrine is the only way of teaching an entire congregation of believers who are at different levels of spiritual growth.
(4) Repetition of doctrine is necessary for converting gnosis into epignosis.
Prin-All believers in a congregation must be constantly reminded of doctrinal principles even though they have heard them before!
Inculcation is defined by teaching by frequent repetition and admonition.
And no believer can advance to spiritual maturity apart from doctrinal teaching.
You do not apply what you http://learn...you only apply what you cannot http://forget...and that's why repetition is so important!
And the pastor's job is to repeat, repeat, repeat!
And the pastor who doesn't repeat is arrogant!
He wants to be loved by everyone....
or he wants everyone to speak well of him....
or he doesn't want to bore anyone.....
he wants to hear how great his message is!
Repetition may drive people away but repetition is the means of tapping into the greatest resources that have ever existed for mankind.
Repetition produces inculcation!
And when you get bored and say I've heard that before or I have that down in one of my http://notebooks...you have lost out on the true purpose of repetition.
It is the tremendous concentration on repetition that makes a difference between winners and losers.
Repetition is the key to almost anything in life!
A well taught congregation is one that has been repeated to over and over again.
Repetition never bothers the believer who has PVTD.
Repetition is only resented by the arrogant!
Everyone resents at some time hearing something that they've heard http://before....and this is all a part of your test.
It's a part of indoctrination or doctrine becoming ingrained into the believer!
When you like something repetition doesn't mean a thing, whether it's your favorite food or beverage or sport or whatever.
As long as you have PVTD, it shouldn't make a difference how many times you hear it!
And if you listen carefully and concentrate under the ministry of God the Holy Spirit, something new always breaks through.
But the arrogant person says I've heard that before.
As if hearing something before matters!
What matters is the inculcation of Bible doctrine.
JOH 14:26 "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.
"I said" is an aoractind, eipon which refers to what the Lord taught them for the last three years!
Now, in 2Pe chapter 2, Peter mentions the importance of repetition.
2Pe 1:2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you by means of the epignosis knowledge or through the instrument of metabolized doctrine of God and of Jesus our Lord;
2Pe 1:3 Seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge or epignosis knowledge [metabolized doctrine] of him who called us by His own glory and excellence.
2Pe 1:4 For by these he has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, in order that by them you might become partakers or partners of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust.
2Pe 1:5 Now for this very reason also, applying all diligence or making every effort, with your doctrine supply moral excellence or virtue, and in your moral virtue, knowledge; or gnosis which is academic information
2Pe 1:6 And in your knowledge, self control, and in your self control, perseverance, and in your perseverance, godliness;
2Pe 1:7 And in your godliness, brotherly kindness, and in your brotherly kindness, virtue-love.
2Pe 1:8 For if these qualities are yours and keep on increasing, they render you or prevent you from being neither useless [ineffective] nor unfruitful [unproductive] in the true knowledge or the epignosis knowledge [M.D.] of our Lord Jesus Christ.
2Pe 1:9 For he who lacks or does not have these qualities is blind or short sighted, [blind in the sense of blindness in the soul or blackout of the soul] having forgotten his purification or being cleansed from his former sins.
2Pe 1:10 Therefore, brethren, be all the more diligent [perceiving doctrine and seeking those things above] to make certain about His calling and electing you; for as long as you practice these things [the execution of the PPOG], you will never stumble; [i.e., become a loser in cosmic system].
2Pe 1:11 For in this way [executing the PPOG] the entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be abundantly supplied to you.[conveyance of eternal believer's inheritance blessings to winners]."
In verses 12-15, we see the means by which these blessings are transferred!
2Pe 1:12 is where we see the importance of doctrinal inculcation.
Nothing is more important in our lives than Bible doctrine, since Bible doctrine reveals the invisible assets and how to glorify God and receive our fantastic inheritance from God.
2Pe 1:12 Therefore, I shall always be ready to remind you of these things, even though you already know them, and have been established in the truth which is present with you.
Again the "alert" pastor repeats doctrine!
Therefore is the conjunction "dio" which indicates that Peter is now reaching a conclusion!
Having understood election and our inheritance,
having understood God's plan and purpose for sustaining us....
We can begin to see the means by which of all these fantastic blessings are conveyed to us!
2Pe 1:12 Therefore, I shall always be ready
This is peter's advice in the last days of his life.
He understood the doctrine of election!
He understood why he was still alive and why God had sustained him!
He understood his invisible assets and the fantastic inheritance God had for him!
He is now 75 years old, giving us this advice, and he's about to die!
So, Peter says in the last days of his life, age 75, the year 67 ad.... Shortly before his death he says...."I shall always be ready"
prin-Peter was a prepared pastor and God uses prepared men!
So Peter says in verse 12, "Therefore, I shall always be ready"
Ready for what?
Next we have the phrase, to remind you, the presactinf of hupominnesko which is hupomimneskein which means to remind you, to bring to your remembrance, to teach you something you've already learned and therefore to repeat!
And in the present tense it means to keep reminding you or to keep on repeating!
2Pe chapter 2 is a fantastic passage that deals with the importance of repetition and how the Holy Spirit is able to bring things to our remembrance.
In our main passage the Lord said in JOH 14:26, "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.
Peter not only mentions the importance of repetition but also the type of things that should be repeated.
For example, in 2PE 1:1 Simon Peter, a bond servant and apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who have received a faith of the same kind as ours, by the righteousness of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ:
"have received" is an aoractpart of lagchano which is lachousin which means to receive, to obtain, to attain.
Literally it says "to those who have received a faith equal to ours or of the same kind"
prin-Every believer starts out with the same amount of faith but none of us end up that way!
Everyone has the same chance from the start of salvation.
We all start out with an equal amount of faith, equal privilege and equal opportunity.
In eternity past the sovereignty of God elected us to privilege http://but.....we have the freedom to accept or reject His way of doing things!
God has only ONE will for all of us and that is He wills the highest and best for each one of us.
So He starts us all out with equal faith!
If He had His way we'd all be advanced, living in spiritual maturity.
But, in contrast, some fail, some succeed, some are winners, some are losers, some are under discipline, some are being blessed, and some are even under the sin unto death!
So Peter says 2PE 1:1 Simon Peter, a bond servant and apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who have received a faith of the same kind as ours, by the righteousness of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ:
"by the righteousness of God" is the prepositional phrase "en plus the instrumental of means, dikaiosune" which refers to the righteousness and integrity of God and should be translated "by means of the righteousness of God".
This virtue, this integrity is related to our Lord Jesus Christ.
So this verse literally says "to those who have received a faith of the same kind as ours or from the instrument of our Lord's character and integrity"
And it is through the righteousness and virtue and integrity of our God and Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ that we attain everything!
Now the divine policy and the divine purpose is stated in verse 2.
2Pe 1:2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you not in the knowledge but [by means of the epignosis knowledge or through the instrument of metabolized doctrine] of God and of Jesus our Lord;
"in knowledge" is the prepositional phrase "en plus the instrumental noun epignosei" which should be translated
"by means of the epignosis knowledge or through the instrument of metabolized doctrine of God and of Jesus our Lord"
Notice that grace and peace or prosperity is multiplied to you by means of metabolized doctrine.
The greatest thing that you can do to attain prosperity is to learn Bible doctrine!
2Pe 1:3 Seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through what?
through the true knowledge or epignosis knowledge [metabolized doctrine] of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.
Now notice the phrase "through the true knowledge", it is the prepositional phrase "dia" plus the definite article "tes"
and then once again the ablative of means of epignosis which is epignoseos which should be translated "through the means of epignosis doctrine or metabolized doctrine".
So again we see that everything we need pertaining to life or spirituality comes from metabolized doctrine!
2Pe 1:4 For by these [metabolized doctrine, God's own glory in vs 3 and God's moral excellence or virtue] He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, in order that by them [the promises of God] you might become partakers or partners of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust.

"with your faith" is the prepositional phrase "en te pistei" which should be translated "with your doctrine".
2Pe 1:5 Now for this very reason also, applying all diligence or making every effort, with your doctrine supply moral excellence or virtue, and in your moral virtue, knowledge; or gnosis which is academic information.
2Pe 1:6 And in your knowledge, self control, and in your self control, perseverance, and in your perseverance, godliness or spiritual living;
2Pe 1:7 And in your spiritual living, brotherly kindness [the royal family honor code],
"brotherly kindness" is the noun philadelphia which refers to the Royal Family Honor Code.
and in your brotherly kindness, virtue-love.
2Pe 1:8 For if these qualities are yours and keep on increasing, they render you or prevent you from being neither useless [meaning ineffective] nor unfruitful [or unproductive] in what?
Here we are again, "in the true knowledge or the epignosis knowledge [M.D.] of our Lord Jesus Christ"
"in the true knowledge" is the prepositional phrase "eis plus epignosin" which is translated "in the metabolized doctrine of our Lord Jesus Christ".
Please notice again that everything depends on metabolized doctrine!

Now with all of that in mind, in verses 12-15, we see once again the means by which all of these things take place!

That back in 2PE 1:1, we have all start out with an equal amount of faith, equal privilege and equal opportunity, but none of us end up that way!
And in 2Pe 1:1, it is through the righteousness and virtue and integrity of our God and Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ that we attain everything!

And then in 2Pe 1:8, make sure "these qualities keep on increasing so that they will prevent you from being neither ineffective] nor unproductive] in the epignosis knowledge [M.D.] of our Lord Jesus Christ"
And then in 2Pe 1:10, "be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and electing you"
So that in 2Pe 1:11 "the entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be abundantly supplied to you.[conveyance of eternal believer's inheritance blessings to winners]."
So with all of that in mind, Peter says 2Pe 1:12 Therefore, I shall always be ready to remind you of these things, even though you already know them, and have been established in the truth which is present with you.

prin-The purpose of repetition is to fulfill a deliberate objective which is to inculcate Bible doctrine in the believer's soul so that the believer will remain in the PPOG.
2Pe 1:12 Therefore, I shall always be ready to remind you of these things [the inheritance of the believer, the invisible assets, and the believer's election and predestination],
and then notice what he says next even though you already know them, and have been established in the truth which is present with you.
"know" is the peractpart of oida which is eidotas
and in the perfect tense it recognizes the completed action of knowing, which reveals that this was a "well taught congregation"!
Peter is talking to a well taught congregation.
They had a tremendous amount of doctrine.
prin-A well taught congregation is one that has been repeated to over and over again.
Now, this means at some point the first time you hear a doctrine you may resist it....
maybe it's too technical...
or it doesn't apply to your personal life....
you may resist it the second time,
the third time,
the fourth time,
http://but....if you hear it enough times and finally understand it in relationship to it's context, you will accept it and therefore it becomes metabolized doctrine!
and then you will probably come up to me and say, "you've taught that so many times before, but this time you do a good job...."
and I'll just look at you and say thank you and not even try to explain that perhaps you weren't listening the first twelve times!
2Pe 1:12 Therefore, i shall always be ready to remind you of these things, even though you already know them, and have been established in the truth which is present with you.
established is the perpasspart of sterizo which is esterigmenous meaning to be supported, sustained, and firmly established.
The perfect tense recognizes the results of completed action.
Peter is communicating to a mature congregation.
The perfect tense means the congregation has been taught in the past through repetition!
And the result of repetition is the congregation is filled with stabilized believers!
The passive voice, the believers who had positive volition toward doctrine received the action of the verb i.e. doctrinal inculcation.
The participle recognizes the purpose of repeating doctrinal teaching to the congregation.
They were well taught and repeated to.
2Pe 1:12 Therefore, i shall always be ready to remind you of these things, even though you already know them, and have been established in the truth which is present with you.
There are 2 principles that you should never forget which are brought out in this passage;
1. In eternity past the blessings placed in your inheritance were made contingent upon the future performance of each believer.
And your advance to spiritual maturity is the contingent on which the blessings are transferred
2. Spiritual maturity is the result of doctrines being repeated over and over again to the congregation, and spiritual maturity is the place that the believer graduates from.
And this is when the believer will be qualified to be rewarded from heaven!
Heaven will reward soul winners, Dan 12:3.
Heaven will reward humble servants, Mat 10:42.
Heaven will reward faithful stewards, Mat 25:23
Heaven will reward those who give, Luk 6:35
Heaven will reward those who produce divine good, Rom 2:10.
Heaven will reward those who are persecuted,
Mat 5:11-12.
Heaven will reward those who suffer un-deservingly,
2Ti 2:12.
Heaven will reward those who master the O.S.N., 1Co 9:25.
Heaven will reward those who love His appearing, 2Ti 4:8.
Heaven will reward those who endure temptations, Jam 1:12.
Heaven will reward the faithful pastor teacher, 1Pe 5:4.
This is why spiritual failure is brought in the scriptures such as in Mat 7:27, building upon the wrong foundation!
Mat 7:26 "And everyone who hears these words or doctrines of mine, and does not act upon them, will be like a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand.
Mat 7:27 "And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and burst against that house; and it fell, and great was its fall."
Or spiritual failure is brought in Mat 17:16 as not being able to perform that which God has given the opportunity to perform (equal privilege, equal opportunity).
Or in Luk 14:30, spiritual failure is revealed by starting but not being able to finish.
Or in Heb 4:6, refusing to enter into God's rest.
Now, what causes spiritual loss on the part of the believer?
The main cause for spiritual loss is ignorance, 2Pe 1:8.

We are warned throughout the Scriptures on a consistent basis to beware of spiritual failure.
Spiritual failure is brought out in such passages as Mat 7:27, by building upon the wrong foundation!
Or spiritual failure is brought in Mat 17:16 as not being able to perform that which God has given the opportunity to perform (equal privilege, equal opportunity).
Or in Luk 14:30, spiritual failure is revealed by starting but not being able to finish.
In Heb 4:6, spiritual failure is said to come from refusing to enter into God's rest.
Now, what causes spiritual loss on the part of the believer?
The main cause for spiritual loss is ignorance of Bible doctrine, 2Pe 1:8.

The causes of spiritual loss are also said to be sin, Jer 5:25, "your iniquities have turned these away, and your sins have withheld good from you"
In Mat 25:27, spiritual loss results from not using your spiritual gift or talent!
In Mar 8:36 spiritual loss results from worldliness, "For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, and forfeit his soul"?
So having doctrine repeated to you over again is the only way you'll ever become a winner and not suffer spiritual loss.
And this is why some believers have the most fantastic blessings in time while other believers are discontent, filled with self-pity, filled with self-induced misery, and constantly off balanced from divine discipline.
This is also the reason why some believers enter the eternal state very rich at the Bema seat and others, at the bema seat, very poor!
Being poor in eternity means having a resurrected body in eternity, and that's all!
All believers enter eternity in a resurrected body but escrow blessings and their distribution are for winners only.
So we have the concept then of the spiritually rich and the spiritually poor in eternity, just as we have the concept of winners and losers in time!
The spiritually rich are those believers who receive the distribution of their fantastic inheritance for time and eternity.
The spiritually poor are those believers who, as losers in the "world system", do not receive their blessings from their inheritance, why?
They used their volition to go negative!
They were negative toward doctrine!
They were negative toward God's plan!
They were negative toward God's way!
They were negative through ignorance or even worse, negative through cognisance!
But, whether negative through ignorance or negative through cognisance it all adds up to the same thing....a loser in time and a loser in eternity.
2Pe 1:10 Therefore, brethren, be all the more diligent [perceiving doctrine and seeking those things above] to make certain about His calling and electing you; for as long as you practice these things [execution of the PPOG], you will never stumble; [i.e., become a loser in cosmic system].
2Pe 1:11 For in this way [executing the PPOG] the entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be abundantly supplied to you. [conveyance of eternal believer's inheritance blessings to winners]."
prin-The carnal believer is a double-loser, first, a loser in time.
In "time" he had equal privilege and equal opportunity with all other believers at the point of salvation.
And even though they had equal privilege and equal opportunity, they failed the plan of God!
So their inheritance remains on deposit forever as a memorial to the justice of God.
And they are double-losers because in the eternal state their eternal rewards, decorations, and special privileges are denied them.
This is the meaning behind such passages as 2Ti 2:11 It is a trustworthy statement or literally faithful is the word: for if we died with Him [and we have, retroactive positional truth], we shall also live with Him; [current positional
truth]
2Ti 2:12 If we endure [endure the different stages of spiritual growth with suffering for blessing], we shall also reign [rule] with Him [passing undeserved suffering is a guarantee of reward in eternity];
if we deny Him [reject His plan for our life], He also will deny us; [reward at the Bema-seat judgment].
2Ti 2:13 if we are faithless [totally unfaithful], He remains faithful [salvation is secure]; for He cannot deny Himself [He indwells and He will not deny Himself].
2Ti 2:14 Remind them of these things [repeat the doctrines to them], and solemnly charge them in the presence of God not to wrangle about words or dispute over nonessential matters], which is useless, and leads to the ruin of the hearers.
2Ti 2:15 Be diligent or study to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, handling accurately the word of truth.
2Pe 1:13 And I consider it right, as long as i am in this earthly dwelling, to stir you up by way of reminder,
in verse 13, we see the duty of doctrinal repetition!
It is the duty and the responsibility of the pastor to repeat.
Now how does the pastor repeat?
Well, by teaching expository teaching, which is verse by verse you suddenly discover that the apostle Paul, Peter, John, James, the human writers of the N.T., all under the ministry of God the Holy Spirit repeated doctrines.
And therefore, as these doctrines come up in context they are repeated!
So in 2Pe 1:13 And I consider it right, as long as I am in this earthly dwelling, to stir you up by way of reminder,
A good pastor stirs up his congregation!
A good pastor forces his congregation to think!
He forces them to get mad!
He gets them face to face and nose to nose with the doctrinal principles of the word of God!
A pastor is not a little panty politician always smiling and drooling over people!
A pastor has to lay it on the line to friends and enemies, alike!
2Pe 1:13 And I consider it right or my solemn duty, as long as I am in this earthly dwelling, to stir you up by way of reminder,
Peter considers it his solemn duty to repeat, repeat, repeat, to the royal family of God.
And as long as he is alive he is going to continue his solemn duty......
And it has nothing to do with counseling, visitations, or being a politician and buttering up people....
It has nothing to do with personality, or sweetness, or any of the other stupid things that people expect from pastors.
2Pe 1:13 And I consider it right, as long as I am in this earthly dwelling human body, to stir you up by way of reminder,
Peter is saying that as long as God sustains me to remain in this earthly tent I have the responsibility to teach repetitiously!
Why? Rev 4:11 "Worthy art Thou, our Lord and our God, to receive glory"
prin-The teaching of Bible doctrine repetitiously brings glory to Christ not to the communicator!
In fact, the solemn duty of repeating doctrine separates the true student from the arrogant one!
Repetition irritates those who are negative toward doctrine!
Repetition irritates the arrogant!
2Pe 1:13 And I consider it right, as long as I am in this earthly dwelling, to stir you up by way of reminder,
"to stir you up" is the presactinf of diegeiro which is diegeirein meaning to wake up, to arouse you, to stir up.
This is a progressive present tense which signifies action in a state of progress or persistence.
And of course, from time to time everyone gets stirred up in one way or another.
Everyone resents at some time hearing something that they've heard a hundred times before!
And this is a part of the test, it's a part of indoctrination or doctrine becoming ingrained into the believer!
This is one of the things that the apostle Paul had in mind Eph 4:1 when he said, "I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, entreat you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called,
Eph 4:2 With all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing forbearance to one another in love,
Remember that when you hear something that there may be others in the audience who never heard before, so you operate with the type of love....."showing forbearance to one another in love",
When you like something repetition doesn't mean a thing, whether it's your favorite food or beverage or sport or whatever.
And, as long as your positive toward doctrine it shouldn't make a difference how many times you hear it!
And if you listen carefully and concentrate under the ministry of the Spirit something new always breaks through!
But the arrogant person says "I've heard it all before!"
So Peter says "And I consider it my duty, as long as I am in this earthly body to stir you up"
The active voice of "stir you up", Peter produces the action of the verb through repetition!
The repetition of Bible doctrine will stir you up.
The infinitive is an infinitive of purpose, it is the purpose of the repetition of Bible doctrine to stir you up!
Now how will he stir them up?
The next phrase tells us how!
2Pe 1:13......by way of reminder,
"en plus the instrumental singular noun,
hupomnesei which means by reminding or repeating.
Believers often forget doctrine and have to be reminded again and again.
So in verse 14 we see the dying words of the apostle Peter.
2Pe 1:14 knowing that the laying aside of my earthly dwelling is imminent, as also our Lord Jesus Christ has made clear to me.
Peter knows he's about to die!
He is 75 years old and still filled with energy, and yet he knows that very shortly he is going to die!
And knowing he is going to die makes the words of Peter even more significant!
2Pe 1:14 knowing that the laying aside of my earthly dwelling is imminent, as also our Lord Jesus Christ has made clear to me.
2Pe 1:15 And I will also be diligent that at any time after my departure you may be able to call these things to mind.
Peter is about to die, and inasmuch as he is about to die, he will leave behind a legacy which is the greatest of http://all...the legacy of Bible doctrine!
This also dramatizes the fact that death cannot hinder or destroy the communication of Bible doctrine and the declaration of spiritual truth!
No one is indispensable as Peter recognizes, though he's about to die, Bible doctrine still goes on!
2Pe 1:15 And I will also be diligent
We have the futactind of spoudaso which means to be diligent, to make an effort, and to study, (2ti 2:15).
The future tense is for a statement of fact or performance which may be expected under the circumstances of his approaching death.
The active voice, Peter produces the action of the http://verb.....he knows that he is about to die so he's making "every effort".
The indicative mood says this is a reality that Peter is working hard to get this message across before his death.
2Pe 1:15 And I will also be diligent or make every effort that at any time after my departure you may be able to call these things to mind.
prin-Doctrine is always available in every generation!
Second prin-The only thing that keeps a believer from doctrine is his own negative volition and his "erroneous priorities".
Peter is not making a big thing out of the fact that he's going to die, however, his departure is not going to make one bit of difference!
He's done a good job,
he's a great Bible teacher,
but his departure is not going to make one bit of difference.
He is going to emphasize the fact that it is not the "man" but the "message"!
And, no one is indispensable in the plan of God but the members of the Godhead!
And again in verse 15 Peter is emphasizing the importance of "remembering"
prin-Apostles, pastors, good Bible teachers die, but Bible doctrine is permanent.
Bible doctrine continues no matter what!
So it is inevitable that all those who teach doctrine die, but the doctrine that they teach goes on.
Bible doctrine is permanent and eternal!
local assemblies are not!
Gifts of the spirit are not!

Therefore, it is obvious that it is not the man but the message of doctrine that counts!
Believers must not lean on the man but on the doctrine of the word of God.
Your local assembly should depend upon the doctrine being taught, nothing else.
Men come and go....,
ministries come and go....,
but the word of God abides forever!
Mat 24:35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words shall not pass away
PE 1:25 But the word of the Lord abides forever. "And this is the word which was preached to you.
prin-Every pastor who is faithful in teaching Bible doctrine will build something permanent.
Something which will live beyond his own lifetime.
In other words, the pastor's memory is the doctrine resident in the soul of his own congregation.
So Peter says, 2Pe 1:15 And I will also be diligent or make every effort that at any time after my departure you may be able to call these things to mind.
In JOH 14:24, our Lord continues His final message to the disciples by stating "He who does not love Me does not guard My doctrines; and the doctrine which you hear is not Mine, but the Father's who sent Me.
JOH 14:25 "These things I have spoken to you, while abiding with you.
JOH 14:26 "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.
And there are two important principles concerning verse 26.
First of all, you don't have to struggle to memorize scripture, God the Holy Spirit will bring things to your remembrance as they are needed.
Now, you might say then, "why can't I remember things when I'm talking to some people."
The answer to that is found in MAT 7:6 "Do not give what is holy to dogs, and do not throw your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.
There are some people who will mock and ridicule what you believe and what you're saying, therefore, God the Holy Spirit is not going to bring things to your remembrance so that you can have what is precious to you mocked and ridiculed!
The second principle is that you have to be taught doctrine in order for God the Holy Spirit to bring things to your remembrance, "He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you."
There's this pentecostal thing which they take out of context in PSA 81:10 which says "Open your mouth wide and I will fill it."
And they say you don't have to learn doctrine just open your mouth and the Lord will fill it with http://words.....and it's all a bunch of nonsense!
WHEN FAMILY OR LOVED ONES HOLD YOU BACK

The beginning of the Abrahamic Covenant.
We must begin with a descendant of Shem, who for 99 years was an Arab and the Arab’s claim him as one of them, but then at age 99, God claimed Abraham for Himself and started a brand new race called the Jews.
Abraham was a Gentile who became a Jew when God started the Jewish race through him at age 99. He was born in the city of Ur about 2161 BC and this passage picks up Abraham around 2086 BC (where he had just entered Canaan or was about to).
The accounts about Abraham are found in GEN 11:26-25:11, with the focus on four important aspects of his life. First, his migration or his moving from one place to another. Abraham’s story begins with his migration with the rest of his family from UR of the Chaldeans in ancient southern Babylonia, GEN 11:31.
He and his family moved north along the trade routes of the ancient world and settled in the flourishing trade center of Haran, several hundred miles to the northwest. While living in Haran, at the age of 75 Abraham received a call from God to go to a strange, unknown land that God would show him.
The promise must have seemed unbelievable to Abraham because his wife Sarah (called Sarai in the early part of her life) was childless and he had no children, GEN 11:30-31; 17:15.
Terah was an Akkadian unbeliever, and in
JOS 24:2, he was an idolater.
His name Terah means “delayed,” and he is well named for he delayed Abraham from getting to the place where the Lord wanted him.
The city of Ur built the famous ziggurats, a system of terraced platforms on which temples were erected.
Ur of the Chaldees was a great powerful empire; however it was destroyed after Abraham left.
Abraham left Ur to go north and then south down to Canaan. On his way to Canaan Abraham passed the Amorites who were on their way to destroy his home area.
There were only three believers in Ur, Abraham, Sarah, and Lot, not enough to save Ur; the pivot was too small.
Abraham’s spiritual life was very limited in Ur, and he needed to get to a place where he could learn doctrine without being distracted.
You may find out that your spiritual life is limited because the place where you are or the people you are with become a stumbling block to your spiritual growth.
Geographical change is necessary for spiritual growth.
Abraham was one of the largest slave owners of the ancient world.
His father was also a priest of the moon-god who was called Ur, as well as one of the wealthiest men in this prosperous city.
Because TLJC controls history and since He knew what was going to happen to Ur, He got Abraham out. The only way to be sensitive to the leading and guidance of the Lord is to know Bible doctrine.
When Abraham left Ur, it was entering into the peak of its prosperity, and he appeared to be leaving a sure thing, a good thing, but it wasn’t.
This verse brings out the importance of resident doctrine in Abraham, positive volition and being motivated by doctrine before reaching spiritual maturity.
The change of geographical location was the basis for separating Abraham from his family and relatives. When family or relatives hold you back then family has to go and relatives have to go.
MAR 3:21 And when His own people [family] heard of this [He claimed to be the Son of God], they went out to take custody of him; for they were saying, “He has lost His senses.”
JOH 7:5 For not even his brothers were believing in Him.
Per-act-ind - hestekasin = they have been waiting outside for Him for a long time.
TLJC taught that His followers are even closer to Him than His natural family and closest relatives.
1TI 2:4 He wills all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
Relationship with God must have priority over relationship with people.
Emphasis on people over God must be set aside.
If we recognize that TLJC is our Lord, then we will put Bible Doctrine first in our scale of values.
The issue = Is Bible doctrine more important to you than the most intimate ties of life?
The greatest issue is always doctrine vs the details of life.
The glory road, which is saving grace, living grace, super-grace, dying grace, surpassing grace, was not open to Abraham in Ur of the Chaldea.
Abraham was uprooted in time so that he will be rooted forever in the eternal state.
To leave some environment where you’re appreciated, or in some cases, you think you’re appreciated, but your being appreciated is also keeping you from getting Bible doctrine.
Doctrine was available to him in Ur of the Chaldea, up to a point.
It ceased to be available when Abraham’s family and relatives and friends and social life and perhaps even his celebrityship - when these things got in the way of his advance down the glory road.
Wherever there is positive volition toward doctrine, God provides the spiritual food even if it means a change of residence.
The circumstances in Ur of Chaldea limited against Abraham from becoming a spiritual champion, invisible hero, and finally a visible one.
Abraham could only go so far in the environment of influence from family, friends, and social life.
When environment is not conducive to the persistent positive volition toward doctrine necessary to keep pressing on, then God uproots the believer who is positive.
God provided enough doctrine in Ur of Chaldea to give Abraham the inner doctrinal resources and strength to obey the command for a change of residence.
Separation “from” should be applied to both believers and unbelievers in the cosmic system.
It does not have to be physical separation.
1. Mental separation.
Your volition protects you from becoming antagonistic toward them by your use of impersonal unconditional love.
Mental separation emphasizes the integrity, honor, and doctrinal application of the believer residing inside the PPOG.
Impersonal love is not influenced by those loved ones who are residing in the cosmic system, who are apostate and antagonistic to doctrine.
Impersonal love functions on its own integrity and perpetuates its own priorities from the metabolization of doctrine.
Impersonal love emphasizes personal love for God while setting aside the functions of personal love for friends or loved ones.
Impersonal love does not compromise the believer’s status inside the PPOG.
Mental separation, in contrast to physical separation, avoids maligning, judging, hating, criticizing, seeking revenge, hurting those with whom you have been intimate in the past.
Mental separation not only emphasizes integrity and honor, but avoids destruction of the spiritual life.

WHAT WILL YOU DO IN HUMAN HISTORY?

Consider the following before you begin your study:
If you are a born-again believer, you are commanded to be filled with the Spirit.
Be filled with the Spirit. (Eph 5:18b)
How?
If we acknowledge [name and cite] our sins, He is faithful and righteous, with the result that He forgives us our sins [known sins] and purifies us from all unrighteousness [unknown sins]. (1Jo 1:9)
If you are an unbeliever, the issue is faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. You must be born again.
“Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” (Joh 3:3)
How?
“Believe on the Lord Jesus, and you shall be saved.” (Act 16:31)
The Word of God is meant to be taught according to isagogics (historical background), categories of doctrine (comparing scripture with scripture), and exegesis (the study of the original languages—Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek).
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. (Eph 3:20-21)
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Phi 4:6-7)

How our Lord used the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God and the difference between gnosis and epignosis doctrine.
The basic theme throughout the year was the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, was the main theme of our entire year.
The entire month of January emphasized the importance of knowledge verses wisdom or what is known as gnosis verses epignosis.
February = how each Gospel focuses in on a different aspect of the Lord Jesus Christ and His ministry on the earth.
Mathew focuses on the Kingship of Christ.
Mark focuses in on the servant-hood of Christ.
Luke focuses on the humanity of Christ.
John on the deity of Christ.
EZE 1:10 As for the form of their faces, each had the face of a man,[Luke] all four had the face of a lion [Matthew] on the right and the face of a bull [Mark] on the left, and all four had the face of an eagle [John].
Then in the month of March we studied the Lamb of God Who took away the sins of the world.
JOH 1:29 The next day he *saw Jesus coming to him, and *said, “Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!
We spent time on Satan’s motivations and studied the betrayer. We also noted Satan possession.
You may have forgotten that we noted the Holy Trinity verses the unholy Trinity.
The unholy trinity is Satan, the false prophet and the anti-Christ.
April began with the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God manifested in the life of Jesus Christ by the washing the feet of His disciples.
Because of this we entered into a study of the Psalm of the Crucifixion. Psalm 22.
Next we noted True and genuine love verses the hypocrisy of love.
We also emphasized the principle of the fact that He taught “He who has bathed needs only to wash his feet, but is completely clean.
We noted the fact that through the power of God, we have the ability to love with a greater love than what they loved with in the Old Testament.
We saw the sword of the Spirit, the Word of God, as manifested in the Life of Jesus Christ, toward the traitor, Judas Iscariot as he was also given his privacy.
Judas was born a sinner but he was not born a traitor.
Then in May on Mother’s Day we noted the Motherhood of God.
The importance of positional truth and the vine and the branches.
The six trials and what our Lord went through when He arrived at the Cross.
May 21, 2014.
June began with the doctrine of the substitutionary spiritual death of our Lord Jesus Christ on the Cross.
The seven sayings of the lord Jesus Christ on the Cross.
Then came July which again dealt with the many aspects of the Substitutionary Spiritual Death of our Lord.
August = we noted the Divine descriptions of Hades or Hell.
The Function of God the Father and God the Holy Spirit during the Substitutionary Spiritual Death.
Then in the middle of August we noted the importance of repetition and the doctrine of Election.
September began with more of the doctrine of Election.

October began with the Doctrine of Election and the difference between: Cosmic one and Cosmic two.
Election and the Believer’s Escrow Account.
The Winner believer.
Selection and Election.
November dealt with the hypocrisy of religion noting especially the Roman Catholic Church and its false doctrines.
The equal privilege of election manifested by the universal priesthood of every Church-age believer.
The Royal Family honor code as it relates to the doctrine of Election.
December = we entered into our present study The Doctrine of Heaven.
We noted the gate of Lazarus.
The principle of going from death to glory.
We have also noted how we will be able to see Heaven from a distance.
A glimpse of our arrival in Heaven and the New Jerusalem.
Nothing is more important in our lives than Bible doctrine, since Bible doctrine reveals the invisible assets and how to glorify God and receive our fantastic inheritance from God.
Prin-Peter was a prepared pastor and God uses prepared men.
The pres-act-inf of hupominnesko which which means to remind you, to bring to your remembrance, to teach you something you’ve already learned and therefore to repeat.
JOH 14:26, “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.
Prin-The purpose of repetition is to fulfill a deliberate objective which is to inculcate Bible doctrine in the believer’s soul so that the believer will remain in the PPOG.
“know” is the per-act-part of oida which is eidotas = recognizes the completed action of knowing, which reveals that this was a “well taught congregation”!
prin-A well taught congregation is one that has been repeated to over and over again.
established is the per-pass-part of sterizo meaning to be supported, sustained, and firmly established.
1. In eternity past the blessings placed in your inheritance were made contingent upon the future performance of each believer.
2. Spiritual maturity is the result of doctrines being repeated over and over again to the congregation, and spiritual maturity is the place that the believer graduates from.
Heaven will reward soul winners, DAN 12:3.
Heaven will reward humble servants, MAT 10:42.
Heaven will reward faithful stewards,
MAT 25:23,
Heaven will reward those who give, LUK 6:35
Heaven will reward those who produce divine good, ROM 2:10.
Heaven will reward those who are persecuted, MAT 5:11-12.
Heaven will reward those who suffer un-deservingly, 2TI 2:12.
Heaven will reward those who master the O.S.N., 1CO 9:25.
Heaven will reward those who love His appearing, 2TI 4:8.
Heaven will reward those who endure temptations, JAM 1:12.
Heaven will reward the faithful pastor teacher, 1PE 5:4.
