Churches for Middle East Peace (CMEP) Briefing

October 28, 2023
9:30 - 10:30am

You are invited to join Rev. Dr. Mae Elise Cannon, the Executive Director of Churches for Middle East Peace (CMEP), for a briefing and Q&A session on the urgent situation in Gaza and Israel. Rev. Dr. Cannon will update participants on the latest news from the region, share insights from our partners on the ground, and discuss how CMEP is mobilizing for an end to the violence in U.S. policy. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and learn how they can get involved in supporting CMEP's mission during this critical time. We hope to see you there. About CMEP Established in 1984, Churches for Middle East Peace (CMEP) is a coalition of more than 30 national Church communions and organizations in Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant, and Evangelical traditions dedicated to promoting peace and justice in the Middle East through education, elevating voices from the region, and policy advocacy. We believe that the policy perspectives and experience in the Middle East of our member communions and organizations should be better known and directly influence U.S. foreign policy. Our work is based on the understanding that sound and holistic U.S. policy is crucial to achieving and maintaining just and stable relationships in the Middle East. About Rev.
