It seems like we are almost constantly challenged in this day and time to compromise our values. A friend promises to keep it a secret; a voice whispers in our head that no one will ever know. But God will know! And He created us for better – He created us to become more like Jesus, and Jesus would love first! But, as we’ll see today, doing what Jesus did doesn’t promise us an easy life – in fact, it may become harder. But Integrity shows us to be trustworthy and strengthens relationships.

There’s so much happening in our lives and the lives of others, that we can start to feel overwhelmed. And social media only seems to magnify this, and at the same time allows us to hold people and the messiness in their lives away from us. But Jesus experienced compassion for those around him, and each time he did, he did something about it. In fact, genuine, biblical compassion is one way Jesus loved, and he calls us to follow his lead.

We can always find ways we don’t measure up, but is that how Jesus wants us to live? Could it be that He wants us to change our focus to what He has provided us, and not battle envy and jealousy? Today we’ll explore what contentment is, why it’s so needed, how we can experience it, and allow Christ’s love to help others experience it, too.
