This week, African American pastors said that the Southern Baptist Convention’s move against churches with female ministers was disproportionately harmful for predominantly black churches. A lawmaker in Finland is facing charges for “war crimes and crimes against humanity” after she criticized her denomination for involvement in the LGBT movement. Meanwhile, most Americans support abortion with some restrictions one year after the overturn of Roe v. Wade.

This week, candidates for the Republican presidential nomination addressed the possibility of new federal abortion laws. Bank of America canceled accounts for a conservative evangelical ministry which helps Christian entities in Uganda. Meanwhile, homelessness is reaching record levels in the United States as economic hardships and drug epidemics throttle the nation.

This week, Ohio Right to Life fired a Christian employee after a Republican lawmaker publicly criticized her for sharing the gospel. Mobs of Pakistani Muslims attacked several churches and many homes belonging to Christians. Meanwhile, the interim president of the Southern Baptist Convention’s Executive Committee resigned after admitting that he falsified his resume.

This week, voters in Ohio rejected a critical ballot measure and thereby increased the odds of new abortion measures passing in the fall. Book publishers filed suit against the state of Texas over a new law meant to ban sexually explicit content from school libraries. Meanwhile, the American Academy of Pediatrics moved to reconsider transgender surgeries for children.
