"But the father said to his servants, 'Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet. And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry; for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.' And they began to be merry." ~ Luke 15:22-24 NKJV
Have you ever said to anyone, "There is nothing you can do to make me stop loving you"? If so, then you blessed someone with the Father's "Overflowing Grace"! To truly love is to live in a state of forgiveness. Jesus teaches us that if we do not forgive others, then our Father who is in heaven will not forgive us. Let that sink in deep in your heart. Search your heart now with the Holy Spirit of God's help and see if there is anyone you need to forgive. God's love for us is so deep that His grace covers us by the blood of His only Son so that we can be restored and the relationship with His children can be like it was before Adam and Eve disobeyed Him. So, as followers of Jesus Christ, are we able to explain to someone what it means to have God's crazy love that leads to His overflowing grace and how we should live our lives, understanding that our lives do not belong to us but Him? How do we honor and thank our Father, Jesus our Savior, and our Advocate the Holy Spirit of God? For the answers and more, come and hear what the Holy Spirit of God wants to tell us at Friendship this weekend as we explore the 2nd part of Romans chapter 5.
