May 19, 2022 • Tina Griffin

It was over 100 degrees during the 2007 Chicago marathon when Sarah Schieber’s husband, Chad, dropped to the ground and died within minutes. Sirens blared as runner upon runner collapsed in the heat, yet Sarah wouldn’t know about Chad’s passing until hours after the grueling marathon had finished. Now Sarah, an accomplished singer and author, reveals how her faith in God helped her survive widowhood at just 33-years-old. She describes the peace that God gave her while she assisted her three young children in walking through the grieving process of losing their father. Sarah also explains how the American version of what God’s faithfulness looks like has been adulterated. “I want to say to them, my husband is dead - yet God is faithful,” Sarah says. TAKEAWAYS Children process grief in small sections at a time, so it takes them longer to walk through the healing process Sarah expressed her emotions in her songwriting, and has penned three life-changing Christian albums Sarah’s memoir about her first year of grieving the sudden death of her husband is called A Journey Called Grief Christians should climb into the valleys of despair with those who are grieving rather than trying to yank them out of it 🛠 TOOLS AND RESOURCES FROM EPISODE A Journey Called Grief Book: https://bit.ly/3EZIS6v 🔗 CONNECT WITH SARAH SCHIEBER Website: https://www.sarahschieber.com/ Facebook: https://bit.ly/3FupSNL Twitter: https://twitter.com/sarahschieber 🔗 CONNECT WITH COUNTER CULTURE MOM https://linktr.ee/CounterCultureMom 📺 WATCH OUR PREVIOUS SHOWS https://bit.ly/theCCMshow 📲 GET OUR APP & FREE PARENT MEDIA GUIDE http://bit.ly/landingpageCCM 💵 SUPPORT THE MISSION 2021 Recap & 2022 Goals: https://bit.ly/CCMDonate2021 Make a Tax-Deductible Donation: https://counterculturemom.com/partner/

June 29, 2022 • Tina Griffin

Women are good at getting their family to church looking picture perfect, but they are often less skilled at taking care of themselves and resting in God’s grace. Brandie Barclay is the founder of the PowerSoul Experience, an electrifying women’s event that she kickstarted during the Covid pandemic, when she boldly defied Arizona lockdown regulations. Brandie now calls her ministry a revival of God’s women, whom she believes are being called to the forefront of today’s cultural and societal battles. Brandie also encourages women to rely on God alone and cast aside the opinions and criticisms of others. We need to look to God’s magnificence and His guidance in life, not the world’s.
