When we think of the word ambition, we tend to think of driven people—CEOs and Type-A personalities. But we all have ambitions. Even if you weren’t wired with a hard-driving personality, you’ve experienced strong desires to do or achieve things. We see the world as we are taught to see it. As a result, we hold to views that hold us back. But when we see as God sees, we are more inclined to do as God says. This is even true in the area of our finances. God sees money as a tool. He sees money as a test. He sees money as a trademark, indicating we belong to him. If we attune ourselves to his perspective, it can revolutionize the role of finances in our lives.
