We all have been pursuing an idol in our lives and it's not what you think... It's the pursuit of happiness. In our pursuit of happiness, we often sideline our relationship with God and his Spirit in our lives. Even if we are able to achieve happiness in our lives, it is usually short lived. Joy on the other hand isn't something that we can produce. It is a Fruit of the Spirit, which means that it comes from the Holy Spirit living inside of you. It isn't a feeling, like happiness is. It is an outcome of a healthy relationship with the Holy Spirit that is already living in you!
