Every farmer knows that the seeds they plant are life-giving. When the farmer sows, there is an expectation of the harvest to follow. When it comes to sharing faith, it seems Christians inadvertently expect the harvest to come without sowing the seed. It's not the way of God's economy. We have to sow.

The most credible witnesses in a trial are the ones who have seen first hand what happened. Fortunately, our faith was built on credible witnesses who had seen and heard the reality of Christ's person and work. We who have been changed by Christ's power have the opportunity to be credible witnesses in a culture that seeks to dismantle our faith.

When we accepted the call to follow Jesus, he promised to make something of us. He never said he would make us popular, a millionaire, or successful in business. He did, however promise to make us fishers. This prospect may not sound inviting at first, but once we understand that being a relevant fisherman has eternal value, it changes our perspective and catapults toward a fruitful life.
