In This We Know Love
December 22, 2024 • Jason Corder • John 1:14
In John 1:29, we encounter one of the most profound declarations ever made about Jesus. As John the Baptist sees Jesus approaching, he proclaims, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” With these words, John points not only to the person of Jesus but to His purpose: to be the sacrificial Lamb who would bear the weight of humanity’s sin. This extraordinary mission is rooted in the unshakable love of God—a love so great that He sent His only Son into a broken world to bring redemption and hope. This week, as we reflect on His birth, let us be reminded that the incarnation is not only a display of God’s power and plan but of His immeasurable love, made manifest in the Lamb who came to give His life so that we might live.
