Lenten Devotional through Luke

March 5 - April 26, 2025

Study Christ’s Life Through Luke’s Eyes This Lent.

Lent is a time to be intentional about our spiritual practices and grow closer to God as we reflect on all Christ has done for us. What better way to do that than by studying one of the Gospel accounts of His life?

Bishop Tom Wright of the Church of England has written a daily devotional that aligns with the Lenten season. He reminds us:

“But no church has ever said that we shouldn’t read the Bible together. Catholics and Protestants, liberals and evangelicals, charismatics and social activists, Christians of all denominations—there is nothing to stop us reading the Bible together, and everything to suggest that it would be an exciting idea.” (Preface, Lent for Everyone, Luke Year C)

To aid in your study, I recommend not only getting the devotional but also picking up a copy of the Filament Bible’s Luke Journal. This small book presents the book of Luke on one side and a blank page on the other, providing space to write prayers, reflections, or questions. You can also use the Filament App to access commentary, maps, and other resources for free on your smartphone or tablet.

• The Devotional is available for $15.

• Both the Devotional and the Luke Journal are available for $20.

I hope you’ll join me as we dive deeper into Christ’s life together this Lent!
