Christmas Eve 8:30pm Evening Service

December 25, 2020 • Rev. Brian Sixbey

In this moment, Lord, may we find joy. Christmas may not be what we hoped it could be, and we certainly aren’t what we ought to be, but we can find joy. Joy is deeper than happiness, more powerful than comfort and rest, and more lasting than laughter. Joy is knowing that You, Lord, have spared nothing to bring us into your heart and your family, sending not only prophets, priests, and angels, but finally, Your own Son, Jesus, our Lord. May we receive him in our hearts, place him on the throne of our wills, and find the eternal joy that is salvation, in Jesus’ name, even tonight. Amen.

Christmas Eve Update

December 19, 2020 • Rev. Brian Sixbey

In place of gathering in the sanctuary, we are working on a plan to offer the best we can: a “drive-through” event from 10 a.m. to noon on Christmas Eve. You can walk, drive, or roll by on your bicycle (depending on the weather) to the “portico” of the main doors of our church, where we’ll pray with you and give you communion and other goodies. We’ll also have carols sung outside every 15 minutes or so, and you can join in or just listen, depending on your preference. It isn’t a typical Christmas Eve service, but it is the best we can do.
