IMPACT Weekend is an unforgettable weekend for students in grades 6–12 to have fun, build friendships, and grow deeper in their faith!

The weekend kicks off Friday night and continues through Sunday morning worship at First Joplin. This year, we’re excited to welcome Justin Smart as our IMPACT Weekend speaker! Students will experience large-group worship and teaching, small-group Bible study, games, service projects, Midnight Madness, great food, and plenty of time together.

Throughout the weekend, students will be divided into small groups by age and gender. Groups will stay together in host homes, giving students the chance to connect, have meaningful conversations, and build relationships. Students also have the option to be picked up each night and dropped back off at First Baptist Joplin the following morning.

Cost: $45 per student

Registration includes meals, activities, and an IMPACT Weekend T-shirt.

What to Bring

Students should bring a Bible, pen, and notebook; clothes for Saturday and Sunday; clothes for the service project that can get dirty; a sleeping bag or bedroll; pillow; towel; and basic hygiene items like deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, body wash, and soap.

Each student should also bring a 2-liter soda and a snack to share.

Need to Miss Part of the Weekend?

We know schedules can get busy! If your student needs to leave during part of IMPACT Weekend, a parent or guardian will need to submit a Time Away request and communicate the plans with Jason before the weekend begins.
