Wait, What?
Unraveling the Difficult Sayings of Jesus
Part 3 | SLT Vision Casting Sunday
September 9, 2018 • Pastor Luke Uran
Prefacing the SLT's vision casting for this year, Pastor Luke uses the story of Elisha and Jehoshaphat to encourage us to practice "faith that works." Our greatest need can become a blessing when it drives us to depend on God. Furthermore, Gods wants us to work and participate in His filling our needs.
Part 6
September 30, 2018 • Pastor Luke Uran
Pastor Luke examines the apparent contradiction between Luke 12:51 and Isaiah 9:6. The difference is that Isaiah speaks of the Messiah bringing peace between God and men; whereas in Luke, Jesus speaks of causing division between His followers and other men. There is no middle ground in our walk with Christ. We must "own" Jesus in all of our earthly relationships.
