What covenant is being replaced in this week’s sermon scripture? 4. How does God describe the way His people acted within the Old Covenant and what consequences did this bring for Israel? 5. What is new about this New Covenant according to verses 33-34 (pg.265)? What is the same? 6. With whom will the new covenant be made? 7. Why will there be no need for “each one to teach his neighbor and his relative” to “know the LORD” and on what basis does this happen? APPLICATION 8. God’s people were guilty of worshipping false gods. What are the idols that tempt people today? 9. God demonstrated unimaginable mercy by offering a fresh start to his estranged love. How does this inform our own need to offer our loved ones a new beginning? 10. What are some examples of how you have been granted human forgiveness before? How have you granted forgiveness before? How easy or difficult was it?
