When Adam sinned and hid among the trees, God called out, “Where are you?” It wasn’t that God didn’t know Adam’s location. Instead, God wanted Adam to reflect on his new circumstances. Where did he stand in his relationship with the Father? How had his bond with Eve changed? What must he now do to make things right?
