Deliverance

In the midst of their slavery and hardship, God saw, heard, and cared for the Israelite’s struggle. Through Moses, God provides deliverance for his people, maintaining his promise, and reminding us just because we can’t see his movement, doesn’t mean he isn’t moving.
Discernment

Discernment is our process of decision making to make future actions for God’s kingdom. In 1 Kings we see God’s people and king weak on discernment, being influenced negatively by others. The prophet Elijah calls out their lack of conviction and through a miraculous sending of fire, God reminds everyone who he is.
