New Life in Christ

When we are redeemed through the blood of Christ and made right with God through faith in Jesus, we are not the same old person with a second chance. The Bible says we are new persons with new life in Christ. We have a new power through Christ so that we not only experience forgiveness of sin but we have power to live in victory over sin.

God's Promise

Before sin entered the world through Adam, God had the plan to save sinners. Throughout the pages of the Old Testament, we find God's promise of a Savior repeated and expanded. We can trust, celebrate, and experience His great faithfulness to keep the most extraordinary promise ever made.

In these two passages from the Psalms, David declared both that he is wonderfully made and that he is thoroughly sinful. This is true about each one of us. We are at the same time both God's amazing creation and a person deeply flawed by sin. Our understanding of the Gospel begins with these two truths.
