Making God Known

Acts 8:1-5, 26-40

June 20, 2021 • Mark Kemp

We'll finish the message we started last week. Our focus this Sunday will be on how God worked through Philip to lead an Ethiopian man to faith in Christ. Notice the words "God worked." Philip was the instrument but God did the work. We may be unsure about bearing witness for Christ to the unsaved because we feel the weight of responsibility rests on us. But the truth is it is God's work and He can do it through anyone who is fully available to Him. That includes me and you. We'll learn through Philip's story how we can get in on God's work.

Making God Known

Last Sunday we finished our Knowing God series. This week we'll talk about "Making God Known" from Acts 8:1-5, 26-40. This is not a new series but it is important for us to be reminded that God is too good to keep to ourselves. We have the calling and privilege to share our wonderful Lord with people who need to know Him. It's not as hard as we sometimes imagine. Whatever God calls us to do, He enables us to do. In one place after the command to "Go make disciples", He promised "And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age" (Matthew 28:19-20).
