Buddy and Taryn Raschdorf were called to full-time missions in Spring of 2020 when COVID hit. They are seeking the Lord’s direction and working towards full-time ministry work with the refugee populations in Western Europe starting early of 2024.
Buddy is a former police officer but felt the call to ministry in 2015. He completed his Masters of Divinity Degree from Regent University in 2020. Buddy's heart is to help those in need, particularly refugees. Taryn is an assistant professor of music education at Old Dominion University and the Choir Director at Atlantic Shores Christian High School. She wants to use her love of music and children to bring the Gospel to the unreached. They have been married for 21 years, and have 6 children; Marin/20, Avi/19, Asher/17, Nate/10, Elsie/6, and Chesed “Kess”/4.
In August 2022, they will be taking a short-term trip to Konstanz, Germany to minister among refugee families in the community in a variety of practical ways, as well as prayer walking throughout the city. The trip will culminate in an uplifting and festive event called Café Hope in which many of these families, who have had to flee their homes in war-torn and desperate nations such as Syria, Iran, Somalia, Ukraine, and Afghanistan, will come to enjoy a time of food, fun, fellowship, music, activities for children, and spiritual inspiration.”
