The Antidotes to Anxiety

Paul closes his “book of joy” with two paths to relieve the anxious Christian of their fears and concerns. Both secure ‘the peace of God’ and so should be used by Christians as they walk the path of pilgrimage. The first is prayer (4-7), and the second is recognition (8-9). The latter widens the scope of the Christian’s’ eyes to see the good gifts God has granted his creation (and so his people) and should be received the gratitude. Paul commands imitation, which implies *he* has done both. So should we.

Steward the Story
