One of the pastors from White Rock Fellowship came over to the house to stay with our girls while we were gone. Before leaving, I had a long conversation with him about what was next for our two churches in the aftermath of the killings of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile. We weren’t sure should happen, but we at least wanted to begin a larger conversation about our role as Christian leaders in racial reconciliation. After we wrapped up that conversation, Jen and I left to go have dessert and coffee in the Design District.
