New Family

This week, RD McClenagan continued our NEW series on how we have each been called to be a part of a new family. He looked at biblical examples of community from the Trinity to Jesus and His disciples. The new family that we are to share our lives with needs to be centered on honesty over hiding, gentleness over harshness, and honor over unimportance and shame.

NEW: Your Next Step Is...

This week, Gospel Sunday, Rick Dunn wraps up our NEW series and looks at what our next steps are. Our next steps come from Matthew 3:2, "Repent, for the Kingdom of God is at hand." We are to turn away from what would be our story and turn toward Him and His story. The way that He turns us is through our spiritual family. And lastly, we are to lean in to our mission so that the Kingdom of God moves closer to the world.

New Mission

September 26, 2021 • JC Neely • Ephesians 5:1–2, 2 Corinthians 4:6, John 4:28–29

This week, JC Neely continues our NEW series and focuses on us each being called to be on a New Mission. When we ask ourselves "Is it ever going to matter?" we must look at what God's mission and vision is for our lives. As the woman at the well left her conversation with Jesus, she did not have anything profound to show the people - there was no physical miracle. She could only tell them about the man she met who had changed her life. That is what God has called us to, to be on a mission to tell those around us about Christ who will change their lives. God wants to take our average, everyday lives and tell an extraordinary story.

New Person

September 12, 2021 • RD McClenagan • Romans 7:15–24, John 4:4–30, 2 Corinthians 5:17

This week, RD McClenagan looks at the story of the Woman at the Well and how we have each been called to be a new person in Christ. We must each take our knowledge about God and have an encounter with Christ. When we become a new person, there is a new center to what matters in our lives. Christ says that we are to leave the distractions in our lives and reorient our lives around Him. We are able to leave these things behind because He is better. However, He is only better when we experience Him as better, and we have to create the space to have those experiences with Him.
