Elections and politics in today's culture give us hope, and cause fear and a sense of desperation. When things go the way we would like, there is hope that things will get better, and our country will be blessed. When things go a different way we lose heart, feel a sense of despair about the future and see no way to have a good life for us our children. God gave Jonah a mission that did not go as desired. He despaired because the future of two nations did not go as he desired. But God challenged him to confidence and faith as he challenges us. Join us as we consider our political hopes in light of God's grace.

Did you know that God gave His people a specific mission in relationship to politics and elections? Like Jonah, God asks His people to be the voice of reconciliation and grace in the face of the division and hate that characterizes the politics of today. Yet, it seems too often we may be consumed, not by a fish, but by waves of the political storms and disagreements around us. Is the church to be like Jonah and either avoid what God has called us to do or do it resentfully? Or is there a better choice? You’re invited to join us as we consider “The Jonah Syndrome”.
