Ps Chris begins a new message about the Character of God, beginning with references to Colossians chapter 3: Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. 3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is your[a] life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

In order to put on the armour of God, there are a number of prerequisites which the Apostle Paul describes throughout his letter to the Ephesians. We need to know who we are in Christ, how loved we are by God, that we should walk worthy of the Lord, and finally that we are to submit to one another. Our level of authority is dependent upon our level of submission, firstly to God and then to each other.
