1) What is the definition of the church? - Is Israel the Church? Is the Church Israel? - Does the Church inherit any of the promises given to Israel? i.e. Jeremiah 29:11 - Is the promise of the Holy Spirit in Isaiah 32:15 to the future Nation of Israel one and the same promise for the Church? 2) Why was the church a Mystery? 3) Who is in the church? - Are OT Saints part of the church? Are Tribulation Saints part of the church? Are Millennial Believers part of the Church? - Is there such a thing as the Universal Church? Is the Church through time? – i.e. once someone dies, are they still part of the Church? - Is it a temporary membership? - Are believers and unbelievers in the church? - Are Old Testament believers in the church? - Will believers after the rapture be part of the church? - Is the church the “Spiritual Israel?” 4) Other names for the church? The FBC doctrinal statement says "We believe the Bible consists of the Old and New Testaments and every word is the verbally inspired Word of God. The Bible is without error in the original manuscripts and is the only and final authority for faith and practice in all matters of which it addresses.” This class addresses the doctrine of the the Bible -- why we beieve what we do -- and presents example challenges to the Bible's origins, authenticity, and reliability.

What is Christology? Most know it is the study of the person of Christ, who He is in His Essence, and His work. The study tries to answer questions about the "Son of God" and "Son of Man". We go over some heresies and long-standing Christian creeds. Most importantly, we look at how Christ's attributes -- the fact He is both God and Man -- can dispell our fears.

"Theoglogy" has two root words in it: 1) Theo: God, and 2) Logos: word or rational expression. So Theology can be thought of as rational expression of truths regarding God. A formal definition is "The discovery, systematizing, and presentation of truths about God (and truths about Creation in the context of the truths about God)"
