It is said that pride is at the core of all sin because the first sin of mankind required the pride of going against God’s command. We see the sin of pride played out in many of life's ordinary situations and need to equip each other to see that pride and move to humility. Our essential goal is to move from a self-focused perspective to a Christ-honoring one, from a “what do I want” focus to a “what does God want and what do others need” focus. We will look at some biblical ways to defeat pride in our lives.
