This message, we’re going to continue in our series on the book of Philippians. It’s times like these, when we are especially reminded of the importance of community. Even when we can’t be together, Zoom calls, FaceTime, a text, or even a phone call means so much. And this is especially true for the local church. Without unity we not only lack the necessary courage to endure the crisis with joy and hope, but we badly compromise our mission to the world. For God's people, unity in Christ is everything. This sermon we will explore the importance of building a strong sense of unity in our church family, even in these days ahead and how this is vital to our relationship with Jesus. Read Philippians 1:27-30 for this message.

This message we’ll continue in our study of Philippians. The big idea of this whole book is Paul encouraging us to stand firm, even when things around us are uncertain. What a perfect book for us to be studying in 2020! We’re starting into Chapter 4 of Philippians this sermon, in which we learn that as Christians we have everything we need to stand firm in an uncertain world because of knowing Christ and being found in Him. This sermon in Philippians is all about perseverance. It’s amazing how the Bible is so timeless and relevant to life today, in ways we couldn’t have even pictured when we planned this series on Philippians. As we finish chapter 3 of Philippians, Paul reminds us to follow his example. He reminds us that we are citizens of heaven, and we have a place with God beyond this life. It’s living with this perspective that allows us to persevere with our eyes fixed on God….no matter what comes our way. Read Philippians 3:15-4:1 to be ready for this message.
