Christ-Centered Unity

April 5, 2020 • Pastor Ben Cross

This message, we’re going to continue in our series on the book of Philippians. It’s times like these, when we are especially reminded of the importance of community. Even when we can’t be together, Zoom calls, FaceTime, a text, or even a phone call means so much. And this is especially true for the local church. Without unity we not only lack the necessary courage to endure the crisis with joy and hope, but we badly compromise our mission to the world. For God's people, unity in Christ is everything. This sermon we will explore the importance of building a strong sense of unity in our church family, even in these days ahead and how this is vital to our relationship with Jesus. Read Philippians 1:27-30 for this message.

We’re continuing our study in Philippians that has been full of timeless principles and insights for our situation today. This message, we’ll look at how Paul encourages his readers to press on and continue to live for God. He encourages us to keep our eyes focused on our calling and our citizenship in heaven. Read Philippians 3:10-16 for this message.

Christ-Centered Confidence

May 17, 2020 • Pastor Ben Cross

This message, we’ll be continuing in our study of Philippians. As we start Chapter 3, it’s all about how our confidence must be anchored in Jesus. Paul describes all the privileges and advantages he had in life, and how even if you take those all away, he can still rejoice in Jesus. It’s certainly a timely passage for right now, as we are learning to live without so many things we're used to. And when only the essential things remain, it allows us to see where we truly place our hope and our confidence. We’ve also seen many people place their trust in Jesus in these last few weeks, and when all that is normal is pulled away, we can so clearly see the importance of where we put our confidence and our trust. Read Philippians 3:1-9 for this message.

Christ-Centered Leadership

May 3, 2020 • Pastor Ben Cross

This message, as we continue in Philippians we’ll be looking at how to lead with Christ-centered leadership. When we talk about leadership, too often people don’t see themselves as leaders, but the reality is that we are all responsible to lead ourselves. You might be responsible for leadership at work, and leadership also matters at home and in your social circles. In this message, we’ll see several examples of leaders who honored God well. We’ll see several leadership lessons that apply, no matter where you lead. We’ll also see the tremendous impact that one person can have when they choose to lead in a way that honors God. Read Philippians 2:19-30 for this sermon.
