As Paul wraps up his letter to the Christians in Ephesus, he reminds us that we are in a fight, each and every day! That the devil is real and that he is seeking Christians to devour. BUT, we have tools given to us by God in which we can be ARMORED to engage in this fight against the devil and the things of this world. Let's get our armor on, church. And let's FIGHT!

As Paul reminds us that in order to be filled by the Spirit we are to be mutually SUBMITTED to one another. He goes on to give examples of what that looks like as husbands and wives, as parents and children, and as employers and employees. Let us strive to be mutually submitted to one another in Christ!

Should Christians drink alcohol or not? Paul addresses drunkenness in this passage, but he goes much deeper than that! If you are in Christ you have been filled by the Holy Spirit, but there are still fillings available to you. YOU ARE FILLED & YOU CAN BE FILLED!

As the Apostle Paul continues in Ephesians talking about how as followers of Jesus Christ our belief needs to precede our behavior, he goes on to remind us all of our old self, our dead self, and how we do not have to do the things we used to do anymore! That is not the way you LEARNED the person of Christ! Our new life in Christ changes us!

Paul's next instruction to Christians is to mature in their faith by using their Spirit-given Gifts to equip the saints and serve His Kingdom! Paul lays out a few areas in which we as believers are gifted by the Spirit here in this section. Although this is not an exhaustive list of all the gifts you could have from the Spirit, which area here do you feel GIFTED and called in? Let's grow up together, church, and use our gifts!

As Paul moves into instructing Christians in their behavior to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which we have been called, he reminds us that we need to be UNITED together in Christ! There's only one way to win this race church, and that's together!
