Being Called Alongside

I. Why are we not in community with other Christians? - Heb 10:25 A. Season of work or school or illness B. Tried it and it didn't fit C. I'm scared people will see who I really am D. I don't think I need it E. #1 reason = time II. Community is a place of being called along side one another. A. Encouragement B. Exhortation C. Comfort III. Why do we need to be called alongside one another? A. As we meet together, we love and care for one another - Heb. 10:24 B. We need community to help us hold fast our hope in Christ. - Heb 10:23-25 C. Why? 1. Sin is so quick to deceive us. 2. We need others' encouragement to believe the truth of God's word. - Heb 3:13 Conclusion: Encouragement to be in Christian Community A. How is the Spirit inviting you to be in Christian Community? 1. Community helps us hold fast our Hope in Christ.
