We are always so focussed on hitting a home run in this life. Joseph’s home run would have been the palace or maybe it would have been running the show with his brothers. Either way, neither of these options were possible without a process of refining. No one is perfect and God is not looking for perfection, but He is looking to refine certain areas of our lives so that we can reach our full potential. Sometimes we hit a grand slam and other times we cross home plate because we stopped at all of the bases and we were refined in the process.
