Jesus and Martha have a conversation at the tomb of Lazarus. She is wrecked by the past, shallow in her future, with her only hope in the distant future. Jesus addresses all three simultaneously as He demonstrates God's glory.

Jesus plainly, calmly, and repeatedly makes claims of His deity. The title, Shepherd, referenced in Psalm 23 is no different. He is an ordinary man right before us, yet a Divine Shepherd who leads and guides us. Most importantly, He enters the center of the fight and lays down His life for us. That is a GOOD Shepherd.

The Pharisees were amazing artists of control. They even made it look like it was all God's plan. Jesus stripped them of this control. No longer were the Pharisees "the gate" ... He is. Entering His gate provides great pleasure, pasture, and responsibility. So enter and roam. Find the freedom of harvest in any corner of His sheep pen.

In a span of 2 days, Jesus feeds 15,000 people one day and then is left with only 12 people the next. What changed? Jesus told them He was the "Bread of Life". Why is that such a big deal? Actually ... it's the biggest deal ever.

Light is the theme of God's story. God starts the world with light. God resets the world with light. God saves the world with the Light. God ends the story as the light. Jesus is the centerpiece of it all.
