There are no easy answers here. Scripture doesn't "solve" the problem of suffering. Therefore, neither should we. But ... Scripture does give us several pillars of heavy truth that can help us build a stable platform of hope for the lives we do live that include the reality of suffering.

All people of all creeds are hypocrites. Some who claim the name of Christ seem unapologetic in their hypocrisy ... even bold. But, the true people of Jesus should be those who confess their sins, receive forgiveness, and strive for progressive sanctification.

Everyone has doubts. Doubt is not OK, but working on overcoming doubt is OK. Some among us need to be gracefully held and coddled, others among us are idle and need admonishment. Either way, we are called to work out our salvation with fear and trembling.

Legalism is very real and terrible. For those who have experienced it... that is not the Gospel. But, too many are walking away from a biblical call to holiness. That call IS the Gospel. We must make the distinction.
