The resurrection of Jesus was the inauguration of a new humanity. His resurrection was the first "born again" that we can now follow. He brought His Kingdom and has made us alive in it. The world needs hope. The Church is that hope. The only hope the world has is for the Church to realize who we are in Christ.

Culture wars have us fighting about greetings in this month of "cheer". Is it Holiday or Christmas? Let's shift the focus to the "Merry" or the "Happy" in those greetings. What if it is not? We expect people to buck up during the holidays even when they don't feel like it. Instead of feelings, let's chase some facts. The fact is: darkness is present but light is piercing it.
