Give

Pictionary combines skill, artistry, and communication. The better a person can communicate, the faster they win. Communication is a basic building block of any relationship. The parable of the Prodigal Son highlights three different ways families communicate.

1. "Give Me" - selfish communication.

2. "I'm sorry" - repentant communication.

3. "You're Forgiven" - merciful communication.

Musical Chairs

Playing musical chairs is a reminder of human nature? We all want to sit in the chair first. In fact, we often fight for what we want. Yet, God proclaims a different message. He tells us to put others first. Family is a primary school to learn how to fight right. We learn great lessons from the life of the first two brothers and their fight. 1. God accepts us on the basis of blood. 2. Even when we choose wrong, God gives another chance to choose right. 3. When we are driven by anger, greed, and selfishness, we are capable of anything.

The Floor Is Lava

Balance is key to winning at the game "The Floor is Lava." Balance is also the key to winning at life. Work, school, home, sports, church, and personal issues all fight for attention. We can learn a great lesson from Job. He was a success at business, family and with God. How? He prayed. How can we pray for our children (and others)? 1. Pray for character. Don't allow blessings to lead you away from God. 2. Pray for God's will. You can't control others but you can pray for them and influence them with your godly example. 3. Pray for salvation. We may not be able to prepare the future for others, but we can prepare others for the future.

Hot Potato

Parenting is like playing hot potato. Sometimes duties are passed around. Sometimes things get dropped. Sometimes you're left holding on. Sometimes you win and other times you lose.
