Saving The World

Colossians 2:15 (NIV)

“having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.”

Matthew 28:18-20 (NIV)

“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Acts 2:36 (ESV)

“Let all the house of Israel therefore know for certain that God has made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you crucified.”

How to save the world

Be patient

Be confident

Matthew 7:29 (NIV)

“He taught as one who had authority, and not as their teachers of the law.”

Luke 6:26-28 (NIV)

“Woe to you when everyone speaks well of you, for that is how their ancestors treated the false prophets. ‘But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.’”

3.    Be faithful to the house of God

Hebrews 10:23-25 (NLT)

“Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.”

1 John 5:4 (ESV)

“For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.”

4.    Be considerate of the next generation

Proverbs 13:22 (ESV)

"A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children”
