What's the point of the Sabbath? What does it show us? This commandment is intended to point us to Jesus, our creator, sustainer and redeemer, in whom we can find rest from our work.
When we are controlled by envy or greed, we have feelings of anger/resentment, we will try to tear others down to make ourselves feel better, and we will compromise our integrity to gain that which our cravings desire.
