Seminar: How to Quiet a Noisy Soul

September 5, 2019 • Nicholas Ellen

With the ups and downs of life and ministry we can all be tempted to become down-casted, doubtful, and devoid of peace. Instead of our souls being filled with the rest, assurance, and joy of the Lord we can often be filled with the complete opposite - a noisy soul. In this session we will explore some of the reasons for a noisy soul and what it takes to experience the promise of Christ that His yoke is easy and His burden is light.

Seminar: Fostering a Healthy Marriage

September 5, 2019 • John Fernandez

Marriage is under attack. We see it in our society, in our churches, and amongst our fellow pastors and church leaders. In the wake of such rampant disregard for the beauty and joy that marriage pictures, what can we do to not only serve our congregations, but care for own marriages? In this session we will be reminded of God’s view of marriage and of ways that we can cultivate the type of marriage that can withstand the enemy’s attacks. Be challenged and encouraged to see your marriage the way that Christ does and to take tangible steps towards a healthier marriage.

Seminar: Exalting Christ With Life-changing Preaching

September 5, 2019 • Todd Bolton

As preachers devoted to proclaiming the person and work of Christ, we must be tremendously concerned with true and precise content. However, we must also remember that accurate explanation of theological content, though vital, is not the end goal of preaching. Calling people to change in light of the Scripture’s intent is Christ’s charge to His shepherds (2 Timothy 3:16-4:2). Life change is God’s intent for all Scripture and it must be our intent for each sermon. This seminar is designed to see Christ exalted not only in the proclamation of Scripture, but also in the changed lives that result from calling people to live in light of Scripture.
