For the very first time ever, on Friday evening, March 24, we get to honor our Warriors in the Barksdale AFB area in a unique way.

Closing out the final practice before the Saturday and Sunday Defenders of Liberty Air Shows, we're lighting up the night sky over the Barksdale airfield at 8:15pm with an over 15-minute professional fireworks show, and it's open to anyone who has access to the installation.

Historically, this Friday evening practice draws thousands of Warriors and family members who will be working the Saturday and Sunday shows. Without this time, many families would not get to experience the Air Show with their Warrior. With the addition of this massive, professional fireworks show, our goal is to help attract more service members and military families, as well as more veterans and retirees from around the Ark-La-Tex region. Anyone with base access is welcome to attend, and while Friday night is not open to the general public, civilians would be able to see the show from many areas around the installation.
