Paul finishes this section of his letter to the Corinthians by exhorting and encouraging. He is speaking to followers of Jesus about making agreements and walking in step with the kingdom of darkness. Paul speaks to the church's cognitive dissonance, knowing a follower of Jesus cannot live healthy and whole lives in partnership with the way of the world. Paul then asks them, in love, not to let other things crowd their sacred space, which is for the filling of the presence of the Spirit. Paul explains that his exhortation and their repentance are not a setback in kingdom relationships but strengthening in kingdom resilience.
