Three courses to choose from!
Option 1: New Testament Survey I - Taught by Pastor Christian Kemp
New Testament Survey covers the authorship and setting of NT books, theological themes of the NT, guidance for the church in a hostile culture, civic and religious responsibilities, the model of the NT Church, as well as church leadership and organization. This course covers the intertestamental period through the book of Acts.
Course Requirements:
Prerequisite: None
Text: The Essence of the New Testament: A Survey, by Elmer L. Towns and Ben Gutierrez
Format: Out-of-class reading and lectures.
Requirements for credit: Weekly reading quizzes 1-16, midterm exam, final exam, no more than 3 unexcused absences.
Option 2: Hermeneutics - Taught by TBD
Hermeneutics is the theory (science) and practice (art) of biblical interpretation. In this class students will learn the basic principles of biblical interpretation, how to approach different kinds of literature within the Bible, and how to accurately interpret God’s word.

Option 3: Foundations of Bible Study - Taught by Terri Willms
Foundations of Bible Study is a rigorous course that helps equip believers to effectively “dig” into God’s Word using 20 Bible study tools. This class will take you beyond just reading into a deeper understanding of God’s Word.
Course Requirements:

Format: Out-of-class study, reading, and In-class discussions and lectures.
Requirements for credit: comprehensive midterm exam, final exam, no more than 3 unexcused absences.
