When we are faced with suffering, it is hard to reconcile the current pain with a God who loves us. But even if it lasts our entire lives, there is redemption in the pain. So take heart. Because this momentary life we live on earth is nothing compared to the wonders and glories and goodness that we will experience with Jesus.

It will have been a future-shaping time, an identity-shifting time, a time where God was calling us to change without the distractions of the world and all to do with seeking out our identities with complete abandonment. In a time like this, we all want to understand God. Where is God? What is He about? And we need to remind ourselves that God never promised to take away suffering. But He promised to be with us in suffering and to redeem our suffering for the greater good. This is the foundation of Christianity.
