Zechariah's Song

In week 2 of our advent series, we continue in Luke 1 with Zechariah's song. Here, we see Zechariah speaking after a long period of silence. He is worshipping in awe of the fact that God is not only a God who visits us but also one that redeems.

Simeon's Song

As we enter the final week of Advent, we continue in Luke 2 by looking at an often overshadowed Christmas character... Simeon. In Luke 2, we see a devout and righteous man in Simeon who has waited his whole life for God to fulfill His promise to allow him to see the Messiah. We see Simeon's awe and worship as he finally gets to hold Jesus, God's plan for salvation for the world.

The Angels' Song

We continue our advent series in Luke 2 by looking closely at the angels' song as they told of Jesus's birth to the shepherds. Here, we see Luke tell of an event so great that it required a multitude of angels to tell of it. More than that, we see these sinless angels amazed at God's plan for salvation which causes us to stop and ask, how much more should we be amazed?

Mary's Song

We begin our advent series this week that will look at the songs of the very first Christmas. We start in Luke 1, looking at the song of Mary. Here, we see Mary's awe at the fact that a mighty God sees and hears her. It challenges us to look at our view of God and ourselves, as well as our response to God's demonstration of His love for us at Christmas.
