This is Part 2 of the sermon series on what it means to be captivated. How do you stay captivated in difficult seasons? In this message we examine two problems concerning our ability to stay captivated. Both have at root a lack of understanding of who Jesus is. Peter sank because he allowed the waves and winds to remove his gaze from Jesus as he walked on the water. The other disciples did not even get out of the boat when they saw Jesus. To overcome these scenarios, Jesus most be the focal point of our communities, and from this, we too can offer those who are afraid of the wind and waves of life the saving hand of Christ.
