Guardrails in the Wrong Locations

July 30, 2023 • Richard Hayden • Matthew 28

This week in the Guardrails series Richard delivers a message that encourages believers to search their hearts and remind themselves that as desperately as they needed the true gospel there are so many in the world who still do. Salvation is not a list of boxes that can be checked but an involved relationship with Jesus who became the sacrifice for our sin. Richard expounds that sometimes we live with misplaced guardrails that become our greatest hindrance to fulfilling the mission to share the gospel to the ends of the earth until there's no one left.

Life Outside the Guardrail

July 23, 2023 • Jake Vaughn • Jonah 1

In this week of the Guardrails series, Jake walks us verse by verse through the first chapter of Jonah. Chapter 1 of Jonah shows us just how painful it can be to run away from obedience to the Lord. In fact, the only way to run from obedience to God is to run from God completely! This is the picture we see in Jonah 1 and it begs us to ask ourselves, “are we living in obedience to the Word of the Lord?” Have you jumped the guardrails of God’s Word? In this sermon we will see 6 characteristics of life outside the guardrails of God’s Word and 1 overarching truth about the sovereignty of God and how you can get back into God’s purpose for your life!

Guarding Your Heart

July 16, 2023 • JR Blanton • Proverbs 4

In this week of the Guard Rail series JR shares from Proverbs the importance of guarding our hearts. The scripture emphasizes that from our hearts flow everything that we say, think, or do. Whatever we allow into our hearts will flow into everything else. So just as when we let in the light of Jesus that can impact the soul so to will any darkness that we let in from the world. Our greatest mistake can be simply not caring for our hearts.

The Cost of Sin

July 9, 2023 • Jeremy Jenkins • Joshua 7

This week in the Guardrail series Jeremy guides us through Joshua 7. In this passage of scripture we see the reality of the human desire to turn away from God toward our fleshly desires. Through this we see that if we guard ourselves from our flesh we must acknowledge sin. We can’t gloss over our failure but be totally surrendered to the omnipotent creator that deeply desires our authenticity. Our flesh is against our spirit and to rule over it we must seek God to renew us so that we can put our flesh to death.

The RENEWAL of REPENTANCE

July 2, 2023 • Neil Perry

Neil introduces our series on guard rails through the renewal of our understanding of who the acting force is in our everyday walk with the Lord. We see that repentance is not willing to change our own actions but fixing our eyes on Jesus so that His will flows out of our lives. To establish the guard rails in our life we first have to pursue Jesus and put Him in His rightful place in our minds. Through His security, we are able to stay on a path that was cleared for us before our creation.
