41 - Rock of Ages

VERSE 1

Rock of Ages, cleft for me,
Let me hide myself in Thee
Let the water and the blood,
From Thy wounded side which flowed
Be of sin the double cure,
Save from wrath and make me pure

VERSE 2

Not the labor of my hands,
can fulfill Thy law’s demands
Should my passion never fade,
should my efforts all be weighed
These for sin could not atone;
Thou must save, and Thou alone

VERSE 3

Nothing in my hand I bring,
simply to the cross I cling
Naked, come to Thee for dress;
Helpless look to Thee for grace
Foul, I to the fountain fly;
Wash me, Savior, or I die

VERSE 4

While I draw this fleeting breath,
when mine eyes shall close in death
When I rise to worlds unknown,
and behold thee on thy throne,
Rock of Ages, cleft for me,
Let me hide myself in Thee.

1 - 5:21

VERSE 1 Our guilt was placed securely on His shoulders Our lives are sown in sin, O the price is high! His body bloodied and his Name reviled It was for us, though God, He bled and died! CHORUS All my sin and shame Went to the Lamb that was slain; And all His righteousness has come to me! His grace so great and free Given to all who will believe; Come all who thirst and drink, drink freely! VERSE 2 The wrath of God is coming for the wicked Where can we hide from His Holy sight? We run unto the Lamb that’s slain for safety He drank the cup to make us reconciled! BRIDGE We’re so wicked That He had to die Yet, so loved that He was willing to give up his life

49 - Ye That Pass By

VERSE 1 All ye that pass by, to Jesus draw nigh: To you is it nothing that Jesus should die? Our ransom and peace, Our surety He is: Come, see if there ever was sorrow like His. CHORUS 1 For what we have done His blood must atone: The Father hath punished for us His dear Son. VERSE 2 He dies to atone for sins not His own; Your debt He hath paid, and your work He hath done. Ye all may receive the peace He did leave, Who made intercession, “My Father, forgive!” (CHORUS 2) CHORUS 2 For what we have done His blood must atone: The Father hath punished for us His dear Son. The Lord, in the day of His anger, did lay Your sins on the Lamb, and He bore them away. BRIDGE His death is my plea; my Advocate see, And hear the blood speak that hath answered for me. My ransom He was when He bled on the cross; And losing His life He hath carried my cause. (CHORUS 1)

48 - When I Survey The Wondrous Cross

VERSE 1 When I survey the wondrous cross On which the Prince of glory died, My richest gain I count but loss, And pour contempt on all my pride. VERSE 2 Forbid it, Lord, that I should boast, Save in the death of Christ my God! All the vain things that charm me most, I sacrifice them to His blood. VERSE 3 See from His head, His hands, His feet, Sorrow and love flow mingled down! Did e’er such love and sorrow meet, Or thorns compose so rich a crown VERSE 4 Were the whole realm of nature mine, That were a present far too small; Love so amazing, so divine, Demands my soul, my life, my all.
