Romans 2:3-5

April 12, 2021 • Brett Baggett

I. GOD IS JUST

I) Because God is just, He does what is just. II) Because God is just, He loves justice. III) Because God is just, He hates injustice. IV) Because God is just, He will punish sinners. V) The gospel is the good news that God is both just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus. VI) Because God is just, if you are in Christ, you are then as secure as anyone could possibly be.

II. GOD IS GOOD

I) Because God is good, He does what is good. I.II) God does what is good to all mankind. I.II) God especially does what is good to His saints. II. Because God is good, He did the highest good possible and sent His son to die so that you would have eternal life.

HOW MUST YOU RESPOND TO GOD'S GOODNESS?
I. You must not presume upon God’s goodness—if you do, you will go to hell and pay your sin-debts for all eternity
II. You must repent and believe God’s good news—if you do, God will forgive and cleanse you
III. In Christ, you must imitate God in his goodness
IV. In Christ, you must tell others of God’s goodness
V. In Christ, you must praise God for His goodness
