The Way of Hope is to live as though we truly believe the Good News while living to bless others generously! It’s our turn to step up and step out in living eternal life today!
For Jesus, meals were not a boundary marker; they were a sign of God’s great welcome in the Kingdom of eternity. Hospitality is not a way to keep people out, but to invite people in. Reaching out is what we are called to do as the church… the Gospel always comes to us on the way to someone else. Who will you share a meal with this week?
God wants to save us from the isolation that so many are experiencing. The depth of the pain of our loneliness is an indicator of the height of the union for which we were made. We pursue this by first asking God for the desire, then dwelling in His Word and cultivating the habit.
Rethink everything you think you know about who God is, who you are, and what you think the good life you crave is. Put your trust and confidence in King Jesus, who saves you, frees you, heals you, and leads you to the life you deeply long for. This is the Kingdom of God, eternal life!
Rethink everything you think you know about who God is, who you are, and what you think the good life you crave actually is. Put your trust and confidence in King Jesus, who saves you, frees you, heals you, and leads you to the life you deeply ache for…the Kingdom of God is eternal life!
When salvation is defined as simply a prayer that gets you into eternity (minimum requirement), the gospel is reduced to the point where for the insider, little to no change is required. And for the outsider, it keeps people from coming in. Jesus told us to go and make disciples. But if we reduce salvation to just getting to eternity, we are proclaiming an eternal life that is actually disconnected from becoming a disciple of Christ. How are you deeply changing in your soul to become more like Jesus lately?
Eternity has invaded time! The Gospel Jesus taught announces that everlasting life under God’s reign is available today, by His grace. Through Christ’s death and his resurrection, we are able to live with an eternal perspective. It's not somewhere up there, or for after we die, but something that we can start living in immediately.
